I’m sure it will. It’s already feeling better. Thanks for the love. Been putting guitar on a bunch of Latin songs. Helps keep my chops up too.

Re: Stay safe, folks...

Dack -- hope your ankle is better. I thought it was a sprain. Turns out it was broken. Going to get a boot to wear for three weeks. Good times. Bummer. But if you have to have a broken foot in a boot -- this isn't a bad time to have this happen. Stay at home and get well! I thought it was three wee...

Re: Coronavirus

With the strong probability that either a vaccine or evolution of the virus towards attenuation are going to materialize over the next 18 months, you can focus on how to get to this point. But Americans are simply too ignorant and under-educated to take the very simple and easy measures that will e...

Re: Coronavirus

By the way, the discovery of new kinds of treatment is one of the many benefits of flattening the curve, locking down, buying ourselves time for the world's best and brightest minds to work on this problem. If you get COVID this fall rather than this spring, you might be able to take one of these t...

Re: Stay safe, folks...

Glad so many folks are hitting birthdays in their 40s in stride! Hope everyone is still doing all right. Indy -- seems like just yesterday that we were discussing law schools! Dack -- hope your ankle is better. I do remember that. I decided to give this new job a chance before heading to law school...

Re: The Check-In Thread

My first gig since March 9 went well. It was just a duo but, it was for an assisted living place and as we all know they were some of the hardest hit places. We moved around to different places out side and they watched from their balconies. It felt good to give them a little joy after they have be...

Would be a game changer. Wonder if they should go with a flying wing configuration with pusher propellers.

Re: The Check-In Thread

Now would be a good time to publicly let you know both that I love my wife very much and that she frequently has access to the computer I use to post on this site. LOL sounds like the kind of relationship I have with my wife. If you ever see anything from me that looks like a cat might have written...

Re: The Check-In Thread

Great topic, Carey! Nice to hear from all of you. Down here in Brazil it's crazy. And I think crazy is an understatement. Today, with all the numbers being submitted late, we had almost 1500 dead in one day. More than 30000 total. The stupid president (another understatement) don't believe the viru...

Re: The Check-In Thread

The Gardino's haven't been too badly affected by any of the national/global craziness this year. I'm lucky enough to work in a field where we can all work from home. The lack of extra curricular activities has been really nice for the fam as a whole. Wifey has a compromised immune system, and my mo...

Re: The Check-In Thread

I am glad that everyone is doing all right for the most part. Carey, thanks for putting it together. I'm still out in Hong Kong and COVID is functionally extinct here -- but we have our own problems to worry about. But this should be the kind of thing that should be ok if we keep our heads down. I ...

Thanks -- more or less ok here, new law isn't great but it just makes what used to be an illegal but taken-for-granted situation legal. The mainland has been pulling the strings behind the police for a while now.

Re: Racism in the US

The rise of militias and armed protesters across the US is sometimes seen as a fringe right-wing issue, but it is much broader. Armed groups have formed across the political spectrum, worsening divisions the coronavirus has exposed in American society. As I write, there are 1.7 million coronavirus c...

Re: Racism in the US

I know it’s bad to say but, I don’t think any real change is going to happen in this country without some open rebellion. I sense a lot of pent up rage in all sides and this could get real ugly real fast. We have seen so many incidents that led to protests and then nothing ever happens. I think peo...
