Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

I'll echo what others have said: Good to see you back, Swing. I made a thread about you in the General section to let others know you'd be back. Who are all of Rich Paul's clients? Does he have a single one besides Lebron James who has a current contract of any kind? I mean, Bledsoe hasn't got one....

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

If we traded Jared Dudley and a second for two inexpensive seasons of Eric Bledsoe and a chance to re-sign him next year I still think we came out ahead in that deal.

Re: Suns News: September

I'd have to guess the ration players would be -

C - Plumley, Len
F - Markieff, Tucker, Green, Tolliver or Warren
G - G. Dragic, Bledsoe, Thomas, Green or Goodwin

I don't see them going more than 9 or 10 deep (IF everybody is healthy)

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

And I'm sure the Suns would never, ever trade Bledsoe if he re-signed because it's all about mutual love.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

I don't think we should begrudge Bledsoe for looking to get as much money as he can, even if it means leaving Phoenix. The only time I would hold it against a player is if he was doing something unethical (such as violating the terms of his contract). Right now the Suns and Bledsoe have both done th...

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

Jude LaCava - New York to offer Eric Bledsoe a max contract, then send Amare Stoudemire to Phoenix in a sign and trade deal! Take this to the bank!

See how easy it is to make bullshit rumors?

INFORMER wrote:Because the Suns refused to pursue a sign and trade deal until the 11th hour; they underestimated the resolve (foolishness) of Bledsoe and his agent, and essentially miscalculated the entire situation.
there's a lot of assumptions being made there....

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

Interestingly both Eric Bledsoe and Flip Saunders are represented by "Klutch Sports" (Rich Paul and Mark Termini).

Klutch Sports is desperate to get any kind of offer for Eric Bledsoe.

Flip Saunders is looking for leverage in ongoing negotiations with Ricky Rubio.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

If they agree to a sign & trade with Minnesota they can't back out on the agreement per NBA rules.

If there's no sign & trade agreement there's no way Minnesota can make a max offer unless they shed about $20 million in salaries without taking back anything in return.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

Yep, they would have to dump several players.

Their team payroll is $70 million, the cap is at $63 million. And they're not going to be able to shed $22 million.

BRI isn't based on profit, it's based on revenue, and it's audited by the player's association each year.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

he can sit out the season if he wants, but then he's a restricted free agent again next year with the same qualifying offer. so he's certainly not sitting out the year.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]

Well, he's not under contract - so I wouldn't expect him to be here. Unfortunately for him, he and his "agent" probably counted on a lot more mobility and some big offers this summer, and when the market dried up they found themselves without many options (other than accepting the qualifyi...

Re: Suns News: September

I have a feeling that Bledsoe is going to be traded for Dion Waiters and filler so that Cleveland can have the two pg lineup and perimeter defense to cover for Irving. This will also allow them to have their 4 stars too. well, that filler would have to be Varejao to make it work salary-wise then. I...

Re: Suns News: September

Accumulation of assets.

But I think they're at the point now where they have to look at how well they fit together and how they can make deals to strengthen their weaknesses.

Bledsoe for Julius Randle might be a good place to start.
