Re: Around the League: The Off-season

True, booker might help them more than Zion, but I don’t think they could acquire him. Don’t think we’d do it. I’d rank Zion ahead of booker in value, but it’s a total reset on our roster and we’d probably have to wait even longer to get good perimeter talent. I think every GM in the league would b...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

Think you’d want to combine Booker and Zion. We’d be laughably low on perimeter talent. Of course is the ideal pairing, but I think he is someone who answers your question. Somebody was talking about trading Ayton for AD, combining Booker AD here and Zion-Ayton- Jrue over there, but I think New Orl...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

Does Booker get a say in this? What if he would rather team up with AD and Jrue in NO than continue to be part of our seemingly endless rebuilding?

I feel a little bit bad for the guy. He's coming into the league 20 years too late.
He should have come in when he was 3. That was his prime.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Apparently, he signed with Klutch. I don't think this is a sign that he got a promise from Phoenix. Ha! Well, I guess it depends how hands off Sarver will be. New FO--might have a different approach with Klutch. This is true. I don't get the feeling that Jones is afraid of the Klutch Boogieman. I a...

I looked it up. No wartime President has ever been defeated for re-election.
LBJ chose not to run for re-election because he was sure he would lose. Does that count?

TJ, Warren, the 6th, and JJ will totally be in play this draft. What team bites at our pick?
We’re going to be desperate to trade the pick because we haven’t scouted anybody. Pretty good bet we end up trading it for absolute crap.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Not considering any trades or FA signings, my three targets for #6. 1. Brandon Clarke 2. Darius Garland 3. Cam Reddish Is it crazy to think Garland would be the best PG in this draft (and best on our team if we took him)? Even as a rookie? It’s not crazy to think he would be our best point guard. S...

I feel like our regular season will be a sweep. 0-82.

how 3 of those outside teams end up in the top 4 .... Grr.
Historically, when an almost-playoff team wins the lottery, they respond by making the odds more heavily weighted. Then the tanking happens, and they flatten the odds, then a good team wins and they sharpen them again.

It sounds like he had access earlier in the day and may have lost his VIP badge somewhere, so he probably felt that they should have known he was there(being 6'8" and a famous NBA player) earlier. Idk, he just doesn't make the best decisions, but I don't think he's malicious or that this makes him ...

I am sure this will help his trade value. Think we can get a 2nd rounder for him?
A 2nd rounder and a bad contract, most likely.

Just decline his option, use him sparingly, and let his contract expire at the end of the season.

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs First Round

I said since last year that the Celtics young core was HIGHLY overrated. Got a lot of flack by Celtic fans and casual NBA fans, but turns out I was right all along I think most of this is on Kyrie. He's had an awful series. Yeah, the young guys didn't acquit themselves well but Kyrie being so awful...
