Can’t help but notice the irony of wanting him to be a monster on the floor. It’s basically a Neal Brennan joke (Ray Rice) but we want him to be a bruising, physical presence on the court and then remember to turn it off at the buzzer sounding.

I don't see a problem with someone addressing it. Either a question posed by the media or them proactively addressing it during the press conference. Either ownership or the player.
