Re: Everything Soccer
A gutsy win for Los Blancos. The possession statistics are a bit misleading because Madrid were so dangerous on the counter attack. Still, I'm not sure they'll be able to pull out the same type of result in Germany with that tactic.

Re: First Round: Toronto Raptors (3) vs. Brooklyn Nets (6)
Has anyone else seen all the fans watching the game outside of the arena in Toronto? It's hard not to pull for them.

Re: Everything Soccer
jurgen klopp would be nice too for united. Admittedly, I know very little about various managers, but the Dutchman, Louis van Gaal is who I think will be the next guy. He obviously has a connection with RvP, but I don't really think it would be wise to let a player have a hand in picking a manger. ...

I tend to sympathize with Moyes in this situation. He was in a losing position the moment he arrived at the club. The veteran players knew all about Moyes, including his tactics, so it was easy for them to dismiss his authority before he was had an opportunity to assert any. I think Moyes will go to...

What a fiasco. Man U isn't one of my preferred clubs, but wow, they've really put themselves in a deep pit. Can't say I feel sorry for them.Ring_Wanted wrote:Moyes is out. Giggs is the interim coach. ManU will has quite a rebuild process ahead.

is that your analysis? Brilliant! I listen to both because I have XM Radio in my car, which also enables me to get their show on-demand through the mobile app. There's a bit of overlap with the two shows, but XM seems to be where the jokes are tested before the pod is recorded. "Music and stat...

Yeah, the scene with him and Sansa on his ship...
Littlefinger: What did I tell you about everyone in the capitol?
Sansa: They all lie.
Littlefinger: Yes. But don't worry, you're safe now.

Good to hear. Rog is one of my top 5 bipeds at the moment. His analogies and metaphors are equal to Jonjo Shelvey's ability to frighten small children.SDC wrote:i listen to men in blazers podcast all the time. i should have checked their wiki page.

Re: What TV shows are you guys watching?
So was it Lord Baelish who orchestrated the death of King Joffrey? On the other hand, Tyrion's statement about this murder being the one Cersei didn't have a hand in actually made me more suspicious of her. Mance Rayder might be manliest name in history. He was only spoken about in tonight's episode...

Re: Everything Soccer
Mourinho reminds me a lot of the great coaches in other professional sports with Greg Popovich and Bill Belichick coming to mind first. They're all tactically brilliant, but their schtick with the media can be very annoying. joe-say likes the cameras, while pop would rather avoid the media or say l...

Anyone catch the Chelsea vs. Sunderland game this morning? A bit of controversy to say the least.. But hey, Jozy finally made an impact! I find Jose Mourinho to be pretty funny. I can see why he's easy to dislike. His post match comments today were hilarious, though. "I only have four things to...

I'll defer to you on all things Liga BBVA because you clearly know more about what's going on there than I do. 8-) The Messi situation is bizarre. Guardiola left the club and they brought in Martino, who basically seems to be just a Messi yes-man. Martino is definitely gone after the season ends, bu...

I'm curious to hear how many of you follow the world's game. I mentioned in the USMNT discussion that I've been learning more and more about the sport over the last couple of years, and I think I've reached the point that I now know more about what's going on in the various leagues around the world ...
