I just think if McD acts now he can buy a PG who makes this team competitive. The west is due for a big shake up in the power rankings and the suns have a chance to win as an underdog.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Stevens had a huge role for Rozier. I’d add however that he can do 3 things in Igor’s system very well - drive to the cup, move the ball, and hit from deep. Igor’s a system guy, he doesn’t need someone to pound the ball.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
I think Rozier is currently overrated. I need to see him be more consistent and develop his game more to be ok with giving him $15M/year. We already went down this road once with Bledsoe, and so many people are chomping at the bit to do it again. I dont get it. The Phoenix Suns have to overpay and ...

Re: Game Day (Preseason): Breakers (0-0) @ Suns (0-1), Wed 10/03/18
Harrison is not a starting point guard. He’s hardly a point guard. Please trade for Beverley. Give up a future first rounder. It’ll pay dividends to have a proven player handle the ball. Okobo will be a starter in a year or two. But he needs to learn from someone first. It’s painful to watch Melton ...

I bet we get 20 and 10 from Ayton.

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I’m not sure I want Jeff Teague. Would we do better to sign a PG next offseason? Terrry Rozier and Kemba would be big signings.

Re: Suns Training Camp 2018
At this point I don’t see chandler playing much at all even off the bench. Bender, warren, Jackson, Bridges and Okobo/Melton might be a solid bench unit too that presses the attack while Booker and Ariza sit. I think here might be creative ways to get Jackson and Warren 30mpg and Bridges 24. Those g...

Re: Phoenix Suns Media Day 2018
I agree with you both. I watched the film series on Igor’s five out offensive schemes. Someone’s going to bring up the ball and hand it off to booker to initiate the offense. Ayton will be crashing the boards on offense. It’s such a wing driven offense. Hopefully Ayton will learn to score in a varie...

Anyone think the suns win 41 games with Shaq, Okobo, and Melton bringing up the ball upcourt?

Re: McDonough poll
I’m Lukewarm on McDonough, but we also have to acknowledge that a lot of his decisions are strongly influenced by either Sarver’s directive or his budget. Sarver is largely regarded as trash to work for around the league and is disliked by players. I have little angst with McD other than him chasin...

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
I hope Deandre is watching. And that this adds fuel to the fire. Players are paid in this league for their offense (on the whole). Players who care about winning develop defense. He’s got the phsyique but does he care about defense?

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
A losing team stunts a player’s growth. Granted he could learn to extend his shot or play smarter on D. But on this team, he’s relegated to just trying to get buckets however he can on a team with no good primary ball handler, awful ball movement, and is easily manhandled by D. Oh and then add that ...

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
The problem is every team has us leveraged in nearly any trade because of our high point guard need and lack of playoff success. This affects TJs value as well. McD is tasked with bringing in a starting level pg who either is a star or a veteran who can help develop Melton and Okobo. Our best shot ...

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
The suns won’t win any trades until they are a playoff team. Give them a protected future 1st rounder and Troy Daniels. A starting lineup of Beverley, Booker, Jackson, Ariza, and Ayton I think can make us contend for an 8th seed. The bench unit looks good too. Beverley is a good vet for Okobo and Me...

Re: Book of Igor
I’m curious whether Igor will just start booker at the 1 and run him with Bridges, Jackson, Ariza, and Ayton. That lefs the team to hide Book on D and dominate the ball handling, it also gives the team its best 3 ball lineup to put up points in a hurry. Ayton could just mop up with easy buckets and ...

Re: Suns Trade Knight and Chriss for Anderson and Melton
Nah. Ya. Who's underrating him? All I see is people who think he's the missing piece like Nash was to those 7SOL teams and some who realize he's just an average PG at the end of his prime. Well you and FF for starters. THE missing piece? I'm not reading that. He is better than average. End of his p...

Re: Suns Trade Knight and Chriss for Anderson and Melton
This was a boss move the more I think about it.Ryan McD stole the draft. We have two very good 1st round quality rookies who can run the point, a starting quality 3amd D wing in addition to drafting Ayton. Melton was a beast in summer league. Igor is probably going to run booker as the lead guard al...

Bring back Dragic! He’s ran Igor’s system and still has a couple years left before Okobo takes over.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 6:28 amFWIW

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
For reference: Bender has a steal rate of 0.5, blk rate of 2.1, rebound rate of 9.3. He has a defensive rating of 114, a DWS of 0.8, and a DBPM of 0.0. His defensive real plus minus is negative .74 Chriss has a steal rate of 1.6, blk rate of 3.7, and a rebound rate of 13.8. He has a defensive ratin...
