Re: 2014 NBA Draft

@ESPNSteinLine: Hearing: Knicks have explored possibility of swapping Iman Shumpert for late 1st rounder I think I would give #27 for Shumpert and have our 4 man guard rotation pretty much locked for the foreseeable future. I'm on board. Let's proceed to th physicals exam. Shump's value is rock bot...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

Yeah, that was the main obstacle in our quest for Lebron... Eeeh, no.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

I would love to keep Frye and see him retire a Sun, but I think he is looking to cash in a new contract out of our range. Otherwise, the news about him opting out, would come with a "likely to sign a new contract with the Suns" tag, as we keep hearing about PJ Tucker.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

Given his life treathening experience from last year, I'm not surprised about Frye opting out, he is aware of how quickly everything changes, so this could be his last contract and I expect him to maximize his value, either here on wherever the money is. I think the front office already have an offe...

Re: Around the league: June 2014

Monroe is still young, and has been playing on that Detroit mess his entire career. To boot, last year they brought in Smith disrupting his development, already torned by Drummond justified preminence as their center of the future. I think we can develop basic defensive production out of him, and us...

Re: Around the league: June 2014

Brewer makes a little less than Budinger (same lenght) and after this season basically the same than Barea (although one more year), but in terms of production is not even close, even without Love. Budinger has been injuried too often and Barea has been a disaster, reaching Shannon Brown levels amo...

Re: Around the league: June 2014

I appreciate the effort you put into that one Aztec. Thanks a lot!!! :D I'm in the corner of those unwilling to sell the farm for Kevin Love, but we can offer cap relief to a third team in order to increase our offer. Draft picks? Well, if we are not going to bring 3 rookies, this is the best use w...

Re: Around the league: June 2014

Brewer has been criticized for gambling too much on defense and be more willing to leak out than to chase defensive rebounds. With out KLove feeding those passes, I think he becomes dead weight for Minn, and a higher cost than Barea and Budinger.

Re: Around the league: June 2014

So, the Bulls trading for Affalo, plus the Lakers sending the 7th to GS for a soon to be maxed out Thompson, would efectively take out three strong suitors in the race for Love? Or could it be that Minnesota prefered the 7th over Klay and the Warriors are just acomodating a final request to pull the...

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft

Oh no, I don't think there is a problem with you, it's just that you seems to have a black cloud hanging over your head a couples weeks now. You saw 3 different persons asking to chill out a little, and detect it as a symptom, that's a good thing, but to turning it into "maybe this isn't the be...

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft

The usual "Maybe, the more negative I speak, the more knowledgeable I look" syndrome is taking over Inf. Are you channeling to our good old Wormwood friend as the resident pessimist? So much downplaying in the name of objectivity. Forget it! We're fans. THIS. 'Bone, Can I use it as my new ...

Re: NBA Finals: Spurs vs Heat 2

Interesting dilemma. Do you go out in the middle of a Title celebration, or do you return to complete your team's transition as a really good role player helping to ease the load on the next generation?

On the other hand, Wonder boy Spoelstra is running out of answers, as we got to see a Beasley sighting on the court, after 4 games mostly on street clothes.

Paty Mills MVP!!!

Seriously, if the Spurs close it out tonight, you can't give MVP to Parker's 1-12 shooting trough 3 quarters. It will be either Leonard as a passing the torch thing, or Duncan as a closing career tribute.

Re: Around the league: June 2014

As for Boris, he is a microwave player, but the passing version, instead of the usual microwave scorer that you either love or hate as much as his ball hogging results on points or missed shots. When Boris is on, you get marveled with his court vision and fundamental play. When Diaw is off, he is st...

Re: Around the league: June 2014

I haven't made that clear? 1. I don't like that he's had two major knee injuries in his first four years in the league. Plus, in just this season alone, he had the shin issue and then hurt his hand late in the year. 2. I think we're a better team when the Dragic is the primary ball handler. 3. I th...

Re: NBA Finals: Spurs vs Heat 2

After a 22-6 start, the Spurs are now up by four, with Ginobili and Duncan leading the charge. Miami is again a one-man-show, they have by far the best player on the court, but as with Kobe-ball, even the best player taking over a game, needs at least some help from his team. As hard as would be to ...

Again, every contract counts against a cap, and with the new tax rules, every million has to be carefully allocated. You can't left one million here and there and not regret it, unless you have deep pockets. Going from 3 to 4 millions it's a 33% raise, but using your logic, you also make it looks li...

Re: Around the league: June 2014

Yeah, I was saying use the Twins in a sign and trade for Hayward. And I don't have any interest in Hayward or Shumpert if Bledsoe is retained. I was bring up the Shumpert-Hayward duo as something I would prefer over retaining Bledsoe. Ah, interesting concept. Worried about Shumpert's health as well...
