Re: 2014 NBA Draft

Agreed, not to mention limiting access to their physical records. Still, is very common to hear criticism on teams that coming draft day choose to pass on a prospect who refused to meet them, specially on hindsight.

i don't blame him. That is his country and those are his teammates and friends. I would have done the same thing, if I was him. Would you still do it if your employer that pays you $8 Million dollars a year asked you not to and made those wishes publicly known on numerous occasions thereby stressin...

Vinnie Del Negro?

Would that be some sort of "contrast interview"? As in, any answer provided by the real candidates that resembles the answers given by Del Negro, are taken as a minus?

Re: ECF: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Miami Heat (2)

I won't say dominating, but the Pacers controled most of the game. Lebron was all by himself and the Heat could not keep up the scoring shootout with the Pacers (go figure).

But they need to get game 2 as well, or the Heat would be back on the drivers seat.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

Bledsoe will not be available for trade on draft day, and is highly unlikely that we can get him to agree on a sign and trade where we take away a top 5 pick from the team he is heading to.

Re: Steve Kerr is the new Warriors coach

Yeah, he got full of himself. I used to like his columns a lot, but then he went from joking that he would be a great GM to actually believeit, he even tried to push the idea trough his columns,so his work went from " the sports guy" to "I'm an expert" . Thats when we lost him as...

Re: Steve Kerr is the new Warriors coach

I get it from Kerr's point of view. For diferente reasons, both NY and GS are prone to become hot seats as soon as next season, so better be near home with a better roster to work with. But Golden State should have pursued Stan Van Gundy, as a much more stablished voice to follow after Jackson's dis...

Re: Second Round: OKC Thunder (2) vs LA Clippers (3)

On his final drive, CP3 was hit on the elbow wich cause him to lose posesion. I know is rarely called a foul on those "last drive" plays but still was a foul. Still, the Clippers put themselves on such precarious situation long before the Jackson's drive with Barnes. You just can not let a...

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

Instead of Hayward, I would like to see us going after Harrison Barnes, buy low now that he could be obtain by maybe the 18th pick and cash.

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

Sounds about right. I'm curious about how Hornacek could develop some defensive edge into Monroe. He has been all his career on a very disfunctional situation in Detroit, so maybe we could still develop him on that side of the ball. Having him paired either with Plumlee or Frye, even with supposed-t...

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

I would prefer a PF, even better a 4/5 combo bigmen.

Gortat was profesional about it, but clearly didn't like to read the writing on the wall when we drafted Len. So, unless we trade Alex away, is unlikely that Gortat returns as a stop gap center.

Re: Around the League: May 2014

I don't understand the hype he is getting as candidate to so many coaching openings. He is a first time coach with no experience as an asistant. He played for Jackson and Popovich, big deal, then Robert Horry should be next in line for Coach of the year.

It's funnier to watch the Spurs do their thing, when it happens against a team that is not the Suns.

Me too. This win was 100% on Rivers. He managed to keep them afloat and slowly get back inch by inch, there was no taking over, maybe at some degree by Collison, but it was mostly on Rivers coaching.

Re: Second Round: OKC Thunder (2) vs LA Clippers (3)

Am I weird for thinking I'd rather have DeAndre Jordan than Blake Griffin? A little. :) It's hard to root for Griffin though since he's such a flopper punk. He's one of those guys you only like if he's on your team. Jordan is more of a role player but no doubt a very good one. He's the Harden of PF...

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

Sorry guys! I have been going nuts with my teaching lately. Still in my first academic year here at Stanford. My midterm is at the start of next week and I have to get a new assignment and grading criteria out too. So I haven't yet emailed Sose. But I will do it ASAP, hopefully this weekend. humble...
