Re: Acts of domestic terrorism
Trump sent a "thoughts and prayers" tweet and followed it up 17 minutes later with a tweet praising an MMA fighter.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
Average STARTING PG is worlds better than average GLEAGUE PG. Rubio is a phenomenal passer, but is a pedestrian shooter at the position. The problem with Rubio in Utah wasn't that he wasn't any good, it was that he wasn't a good enough shooter to make up for having 2 other non-shooters on the floor...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
I want to pull my hair out when people compare Rubio to Nash. Yes, they were both foreign born, long-haired point guards who were both great passers. But Rubio's greatest weakness was one of Nash's greatest strengths. Rubio can't shoot and Steve Nash basically owns the 50/40/90 club: https://en.wiki...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
There are a few actually. Rubio is a 10+ year vet with proven experience as a starter. Jones has averaged 17mpg mostly as a backup on bad TWolves teams and his shooting percentages aren't that far off from Rubio's. We are a team in desperate need of a steady hand at PG who can make the game easier ...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
Its really a terrible problem for the league. Teams like Utah, Toronto, Milwaukee, Denver, Detroit etc are never going to be free agent destinations. They have to draft or either trade for talent and hope their best talent doesnt leave (they always do). Toronto just won a title, Milwaukee is the fa...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
They added 8 1st round picks in the last week...that’s crazy. Real curious to see how they use them. with that many swings at the fence, you could probably just go with a consensus pick each time and do well. the problem is they are in OKC and nobody wants to live there. I think it is probably the ...

Re: Tsunami Papi is Back! - Kelly Oubre Jr. Signs for 2 Years, $30 Mil
Gambo was answering questions in some of those threads last night...said it was a compromise for both sides. Suns don't want 2 players needing contracts in the same offseason, tho they'll deal with it with Bridges and Ayton when it comes up. Seems like Suns gave more money to get the shorter deal d...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
1. Suns are again paying people not to play here. 2. They're spending $19M on a guy that shouldn't be playing here (Tyler Johnson) 3. The Suns now have six guys under contract who are PGs (Rubio Okobo Jerome Carter Evans Lecque), and seven if you count Johnson. Of these, one is NBA quality, two are...

Re: Kelly Oubre Jr. Restricted Free Agent Watch
If the Suns were willing to pay him $18 million per year, he would be signed already. They are obviously lowballing him Here we go again. Sigh. 18 million seems like wayyyy to much. He's had one half of a good season. Sarver is always comparing the players to each other. He famously said he based J...

I hear you, but how sad is it that the Lakers' suffering is our only happy moments? How pumped are Clippers fans today? Jazz fans? Nets fans? When was the last time the Suns made a trade or free agent signing that you were pumped for? Why didnt the Suns make any of those trades? Or the KG trade (bac...

Re: Suns trading Melton and Jackson to Grizz for Korver and Javon Carter
So if anyone had told me the Suns would trade TJ Warren, Josh Jackson and four second round picks for cap space to sign Ricky Rubio I'd tell them they were crazy.

Re: Suns sign Rubio
Indy also gave up a first rounder and 2 seconds to get Brogdon. Too rich for my blood. Doesn't matter. They got their guy and looking around at the deals some other players got, it's actually a good proposition at $21.5M per. I would have loved it if Jones was able to pull it off. I don't blame the...

Re: Suns sign Rubio
One of the benefits that's not being talked about much if at all is the help that Rubio could provide to the wings on the Suns. Spida Mitchell and Wiggins should be writing a check to Rubio each month for all the money he made them. Wiggins career was on a upward trajectory when Rubio was in Min an...
