Re: Around the League: Week 20 3/9-3/15

Guys, came late to the conversation, but if any of you want it, I have the Celtics x Lakers best of enemies documentary and the Dream Team one (and probably the book by Jack Mccallum in my HDD. I can upload to my One Drive and post the links, if that's alright. Yes please! Also, what happened to th...

Re: Around the League: Week 20 3/9-3/15

Today, everyone would be concerned about Rodman and any potential mental health issues. I mean, he was found with a gun in his car after going missing and kind of just went back to playing. Seems like he more or less dealt with everything on his own, in his own way - for better or for worse. Playin...

Re: Coronavirus

Here in the US we blame China for the virus. In China they blame the US. https://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1186556.shtml The alleged scientist, Shi Yi, claimed that American officials had “not given any public response” on the issue of a Chinese Communist Party conspiracy theory that a U.S. Army l...

Re: Coronavirus

I am disappointed in what the media has become... not to point fingers per se, but the Twitter age has devastated the average person's ability to focus on long discourse (myself included) and news articles are shunning responsible investigative journalism for sensationalist headlines. Most of the ne...

Re: Coronavirus

1. The wet market was not the origin. That's bold considering no lay person really knows what's going on with this virus or where it came from. Maybe a Chinese scientist could make that claim if they had the guts and/or authority. It's not that bold. There were multiple documented cases of people i...

Re: Coronavirus

What I know is this... 1. The wet market was not the origin. 2. Nobody knows conclusively what was studied in the Wuhan virus lab. What I have seen are judgement based on circumstantial evidence that the RNA strands seen in this infection had a high likelihood of having been man made, but that is no...

Re: Coronavirus

Yeah, I’ve heard two theories about how it started in China. Either from a wet market or from a lab. There is plenty of scientific evidence that the spread did not originate from the wet market. It is possible that the wet market was where the disease spread, but it was not the origin, and the orig...

Re: Coronavirus

I don’t believe China fabricated the virus to take down the world. It happens in nature and we never know when it will occur. What if the virus started in the US? Would we be responsible for paying back the world? How many viruses had happened in the past and how many times did the world want payme...

Re: Coronavirus

I think China is responsible for the virus, it's global spread and a possible cover up. I think the country should be held accountable for the global financial ramifications. You shouldn't be able to singlehandedly crash the global economy and not pay up in some way. And I'd say that of any country...

Those are stats per 40 minutes, not per game.
Oh duh... missed that "minor" detail... thanks for clearing that up.

Re: Coronavirus

Honestly, I think there's too much emphasis on wet markets in particular. Anything illegal needs to stop, but that is obviously easier said than done. Also... this disease did not begin with the wet market, there were plenty of documented cases of infection that had no contact to the wet market. Did...

Re: Around the League: Week 20 3/9-3/15

On a different subject, I heard on some podcast that Lauri Markannen wants out of Chicago. Do we want him and for what assets? Personally I'm willing to put up the first round pick this year and maybe Okobo, though I don't know if that's enough for the Bulls. I think he can hold down the starting s...

Re: NBA FA 2020 & Suns FA targets

I get your frustration with giving up on young players. It's a great point. Okobo was an afterthought this year and many thought he was going to be cut in training camp. It didn't help when Jerome rolled his ankle bad before the season, and at that point they couldn't cut Okobo. Okobo is interestin...
