Re: Predict 2019-20 Suns # of wins

I really think we are all optimists at heart, for suffering at the hands of Sarver for all these years, predicting the worst outcome at the start of the year only to have even worse things happen in season, and still come back year after year after year. I've seen multiple "if such and such happens ...

Re: Predict 2019-20 Suns # of wins

When my friends asked me what my projections for the team were this year, I said about 30, but as a homer fan I'm predicting 35... and then I come to the site and see 2 votes for 45-50 and 1 for 50+, and 0 votes for anything less than 25... and I know I'm in the right place. While I am not a huge fa...

Re: 2019 FIBA World Cup

This should be the 2019 world cup... no? Anyway, anal retentiveness aside, I think part of the problem is that this team really isn't much of a team. Even though the players aren't stars beyond Walker and Mitchell, none of the role players besides Harris (and maybe Middleton) are surefire shooters. ...

I'm Huskies and should be able to make the draft, but don't really care if I have to autodraft
If we decide to use an auction draft, I don't believe autodraft is an option.
You can, actually... The autodraft is not bad in fact, more intelligent than the snakedraft bot...

Re: Phx-Suns.net Vet League is up and running

I'm okay with 5 pm PDT or a little later. Can do 4 pm as well, but later is better as I'm actually 15 hours away. My team is platypus beaks.

I run a fantasy league with some friends out here too and I do an annual survey using survey monkey to consolidate opinions and update rules, fwiw.

I'm willing to go with whatever the consensus is.
Maybe let's get the managers all signed up and then take a vote... any chance we can go back to 14 teams?

Re: Phx-Suns.net Vet League is up and running

i vote no to taking out turnovers... Weak. Auction!!!! +1 If the majority want to keep the same ol' set up we've always had, I'll still play. But I will start another league for those who are capable of expanding their fantasy horizons. This would include an auction draft and the removal of turnove...

Re: Phx-Suns.net Vet League is up and running

What is the logic for removing TOs as a category? It’s the only negative stat, you’re probably gonna lose that category just by being more active than your opponent. It also punishes teams that have high usage players. High usage players are the best players in the league and using turnovers brings...

Re: Merry Everything

I think Hong Kong has moved back to the US. There's some Beijing here but I haven't been posting as much. Back in HK after spending a year in SF, actually. But still catching games as long as it's not depressing. Oh wow, are you settled there? My wife and I are talking about possibly going to Guang...

Now that Derrick Rose looks like a star again, it's time to trade Warren for Teague.
I'm pretty sure Sarver wants to trade Warren and the Milwaukee first for Rose.

He could literally score everytime with a baby hook 3-5 ft from the basket. There aren't many who can match up with him in the post. He's got the feel and the touch and yet we never post him. We never PnR to get a mismatch in the post, and even when he has the ball at the top of the key not only is...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

All the scouting reports says that RJ Barrett is one of the best passers to come out in recent drafts, yet claim Reddish is the guy with the superior talent who can play as a 6'9 pg. That really confuses me. Who's the better passer between the two?

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Barrett all the way.

I hear on some podcasts that Zion's position in the NBA is small ball 5. Until he can shoot, that may very well be the case.

I love Bol Bol for the name and measurables, a little worried about the motor concerns.

Re: Around the League: Week 4 11/5-11/11

I think it's human nature for young kids who are highly touted coming out of college and drafted in the top 5 to have higher expectations for themselves than just a dirty worker, if you will. It's up to the team and the coach to sit him down and teach him to take his career one step at a time, to pl...

Re: Around the League: Week 4 11/5-11/11

I was all about Jackson. Being a talent scout is probably not the best career choice for me. To be fair, the talent isnt the problem for Jackson. It's between the ears. He'll probably figure out what he is 4 or 5 years into the league ala Lance Stephenson. To be fair, Jackson doesn't have the same ...
