Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason

Given the pick is top 20 protected next year and then convert to 2 second round picks (which is very likely) I reckon it’s a gamble worth taking for Toronto The pick isn't a huge gamble. The real gamble is trading away their franchise player who loved playing there and was in his prime, for a guy w...

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason

I still can't believe that people equate Booker to Wiggins, that makes no sense to me. Is wiggins even better than Ariza at this point? Butler has a huge chip on his shoulder. He was drafted late and has had to work hard to become as good as he is. Wiggins and Towns have had an easier route. So I g...

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News

Trading for Kawhi now would be a big mistake. So I’m glad we don’t have the assets. It makes sense for Boston and Philly as they’re both a couple of years ahead of us. Let’s not fool ourselves. Our hopes rely solely on booker, Jackson and Ayton all panning out and becoming all-stars. That happens an...

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News

I’m really surprised at the negs on the Ariza signing. I don’t know who else you guys think we should’ve gone after. I know we all want a better pg, but there just wasn’t one on the market that could do what we’re looking for. I thought Ariza and Smart were the only worthwhile options. Good experie...

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News

Well Bryan Colangelo turned out to be a clown. The one he needed to keep was Kerr. Also, other than Phil Jackson, when has hiring a coach with experience paid off. Most coaches that win, win with their first team. So statistically I get Sarvers reasoning.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason

Cousins only makes sense in GS. If a team like the Suns were to sign him, they'd only have him for 1 year. Because we'd still need cap room next year to be able to retain him. Zach Lowe explains this on his podcast really well. He needed a team that had a open roster spot for a center that would be...

Re: Summer League 2018

I think I'm the only one left on Chriss Island. I still think he has shown way more value than Bender and that he'd benefit from some real big man coaching. What exactly do you think his strengths are? What do you see his role being on this team? I think he needs some serious coaching, not by Watso...

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News

I think it'd be a mistake to trade either Bender or Chriss before you see what Igor can do with them and maybe Corliss even more. These poor guys have been under the tutelage of Tyrone Corbin for the last 2 years. As for free agents, the only guy that looks enticing is Marcus Smart and maybe Trevor ...

Re: 2018 Suns Pre-draft Workouts

There's no way we pick JJJ at #1. And I doubt we'd trade down to #3-4 just to take him. Dunno why we brought him in. We need to keep other teams guessing. If you show them your hand, then they have the advantage. Just in case you want to trade down or up, the best weapon is misdirection. Also, why ...

What do you guys think of Chandler + Duds + 16 for Parsons + 4. Maybe we need to sweeten it a bit and throw in the Milwaukee pick. I'd do this trade in heartbeat if doncic falls past Sacto.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason

Come on, that’s an extreme comparison. Bender wouldn’t even be drafted in the first round in many drafts retrospectively. Yeah, in retrospect we should have taken... Jamal Murray? Big deal. That's a very significant difference between Dragan Bender and Jamal Murray. In retrospect, we should’ve just...

We need to make sure to hire a legit big man coach and shooting coach.

Do you think a Warren + Bender + 16 pick + milwaukee pick for Sacto's #2 gets it done?

Re: Around the League: Week 26 4/11 - 4/17

Bobster, I totally agree. I don't have a problem with teams tanking, I don't see it as anti competition, I see it as ultra competition. Teams are going to do whatever is available to them to compete. In today's nba you can only get and keep a superstar is you already have another one. So if you have...
