Re: Suns hire Monty Williams to be the 20th Head Coach in franchise history

This is the most optimistic I’ve been about this team in awhile. Sarver is saying the right things, everyone around him is supporting him and agree that he’s changed. We have two guys(Jones and Williams)in charge who are very highly respected in the nba. We have an experienced front office guy(Bower...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Absolutely. So you are not bothered by the 10 year drought we are in, because we had a good 5 years before that? I would do it all over again if the opportunity presented itself, yes. It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Just like I don’t regret the Dbacks mortgaging...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

UNPOPULAR OPINION: The draft is an absolute crap-shoot. Yes, I say this every year. And every year I become more and more convinced that teams who were successful the last couple years simply got lucky. There isnt anywhere near enough data to accurately determine who will be good and who wont. You ...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

So Gambo says we’re interested in Kemba, Russell, Irving, and Brogdon—all players pretty much guaranteed not coming here. I’d be happy with any of these candidates but this has been the MO for the past several offseasons: “we’re going to sign a star!” And then just draft prospects and sign washed v...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

What about Booker? How about a Booker-Zion swap? How would a trade centered around them looks like? Think you’d want to combine Booker and Zion. We’d be laughably low on perimeter talent. Of course is the ideal pairing, but I think he is someone who answers your question. Somebody was talking about...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

Can’t imagine they’d get somebody that would help them more than Zion. Zion will be a stud right away. What about Booker? How about a Booker-Zion swap? Re: The Dead Pool

I voted for everyone except Kelly and Melton. Almost the same. I had Holmes staying, but I was iffy. He’s unrestricted and might go elsewhere. I would like him to stay, but I don't think we are going to pursue him. I think we are going to blow our load at midnight with Oubre without making another ...

Re: Suns hire Monty Williams to be the 20th Head Coach in franchise history

We obviously missed, but we were pretty widely lauded for that draft. Chriss was always a risk, everyone agreed, but a lot of analysts thought he had the most potential after Simmons/Ingram. I didn’t want Bender, but I did want Chriss(although I did have Hield ahead of him) It’s easy to pick it apar...

Only one I’m pretty sure will be here is Oubre. One of Melton and okobo will probably be back, but not both.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

I think it's naive to even say he's "essentially" locked up for 8-9 years. Looking at the recent history of the top players in the league, New Orleans should feel lucky if they have Zion when he's at the peak of his prime. I also don't understand this narrative of stupid decisions by the Pelicans f...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Anyone here like Seth Curry as a possible signing? It has crossed my mind. Not sure if he does anything for us that Daniels doesn't already. Not sure about defensively. Neither is a defensive stalwart. He's a better ball handler, passer and defender than Daniels, so other than that not much differe...

Right, after 7 years there. If they can’t build something around him in 7 years, he should leave.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

Zion buys them time...just get the best offer you can to build around Zion. They don’t need to win 50 games next year. Just show promise and let that team grow around Zion. He’s locked up for 8-9 years essentially. Just do it right this time and don’t make stupid decisions to chase wins. I think it...
