Re: Suns News: September
Suns should offer 4/53.48. Then there can be no excuses. Its not that much more and it puts an end to this.

We could sign him. We have the money. I think it might be weird. Would that be weird?Charlie Smithy! wrote:Whelp, that settles that.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
So. What must the conversations between Bledsoe and his agent be like now? EB: So, what's up. Any word on that max deal you promised? RP: Just be patient. They are low-balling us now, but they will cave, or someone will step in, trust me? EB: I don't know. Looks like the options are getting thin. RP...

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
Why would we trade for Rondo for a year unless he is willing to sign long term? Bledsoe on the QO is alot cheaper with similar production and about the same chances of resigning.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
What about a Bledsoe trade to Boston for Rondo? Or what other moves would be potentially intriguing? If Bledsoe is willing to go to small markets, I think there are some good options. Atlanta: Payne would be a terrific fit as stretch forward with 3pt range and defense, and was given heavy considera...

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
The Nets could move Brook Lopez with Plumlee coming along. Plumlee and Lopez? I like it. The MoBros, the PlumBros, and a Lopez. Could we re-acquire RoLo to complete the set? Not what I meant. Nets trade Lopez and keep Plumlee. I'd rather not. I prefer Plumlee over Lopez. For one thing, Pl...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
The fact that they want to stay together should give the Suns a negotiating edge with contracts. It is much harder for a team to trade for, or sign two brothers as free agents.Shabazz wrote:I like Markieff (somewhat at least), but I'm not a Marcus fan. Completely replaceable player, IMO.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
Yeah, huge salary + assets + injury risk is not exactly the most attractive proposition in the world. Still, it takes just one fool. There is a lot of speculation about the Bucks, who still have ~10M of cap space, some pieces to spend and supposedly their FO wants to compete. The Knicks could be pl...

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
The problem with a sign and trade is that most teams would have send back a substantial amount of salary in order to give Bledsoe what he wants. No way are the Suns goint to not only give up the hold they have on Bledsoe but also essentially pay another team to do it. Bledsoe and his agent have to k...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Well. I just keep checking in every once-in-a-while now to see if something has happened with Eric. The NBA is practically dead at this point. Everyone is on vacation. Suppose I should expect nothing until early October.

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
How does that meeting even go? "Eric, I want you to take the QO. It's a huge risk for you with no potential upside, but I want you to do it just to spite a franchise that you had a good relationship with before I got involved." "Sure, Rich, anything for you. That's what I'm here for....

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
Although it would be extremly stupid given his instability and the offer on the table, I think Bledsoe is going to take the QO. I think the fact Greg Monroe signed it yesterday increases the odds Bledsoe will. The difference? Monroe has no history of injury problems. Bledsoe leaving 48mil over 4 ye...

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
Sarver should go on record saying the Suns won't match an offer sheet for Bledsoe that is over $50 million. Then let some team sign him for $51. At that point the Suns can match and we're done. It would open it up for teams to make offers. After all, if they really want him, teams can find ways to ...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Cannot imagine Hibbert on this team. The Suns exposed him horribly last year--so much so that the Pacers fell off a cliff the last half of the season. He would not be a good fit in the Suns offense, and he would stunt the growth of Len and Plumlee. The best option is still to sign Bledsoe. IT is mor...

Re: Eric Bledsoe [RFA]
Click the link above. Sarver says he thinks the offer given to Bledsoe is fair etc. It's not so much that he is saying horrible things, more that he just shouldn't talk a lot about the situation in public. He only stands to make it worse. I think he was trying to publicly distance himself from Gamb...
