Re: Suns hire Monty Williams to be the 20th Head Coach in franchise history

Let's hope this is a sign that Sarver realizes he should reach out to Jerry (and others) more. the awful thing would be for him to think "see, I did it, so now we are good and I can go back to doing what I have been doing the last 10 years."

Absolutely.
So you are not bothered by the 10 year drought we are in, because we had a good 5 years before that?

27mil for Brogdon?
Yeah, that's too much for a role player.
He would be the 2nd best player on the team. I don't see him as a role player.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

Wow. I meant that they include the pick, not us. I think Tyler is a big upgrade over George at this stage in their careers. If the Bucks need a PG who can defend, shoot, and not get in the way, TJ can do that on an expiring contract. But I agree that they probably don't do that. I'd think they coul...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Add Jackson to that list of wasted picks. And Ayton is kind of underperforming for a consensus #1 pick as well. 1) He was not a consensus #1 pick. 2) He is not under performing. We just want him to be completely dominant and use all of his skills from day one, under an organization that is a comple...

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs

I think their skillsets were similar but they were polar opposites in terms of attitude and mentality. Boris was a really good defender in the post and could defend on the perimeter before he put on the weight. Different kind of physicality tho. He had great footwork, but I don't remember him ever ...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

George Hill isn’t guaranteed, so that clears 17 million. Puts them around 75 million Is this wrong? https://www.spotrac.com/nba/milwaukee-bucks/cap/2019/ It shows Hill as non-guaranteed, but also shows them with a practical cap space of only 5M, with 135M in cap allocations. Hill’s 18 million and M...

Re: The Dead Pool

Daniels is gone. He played better than Crawford, saw fewer minutes. Plus, we have eleventy-kajillion people playing SG anyway. No incentive for him to stay. I will be surprised if we re-sign Daniels to a new contract, but this is crazy. Over 90% of our minutes at SG came from 4 guys. That is about ...

Boy, to watch Draymon Greene and realize we had a similar player in Boris makes me sad.
They can really pass. Other than that, I don't see any similarities. I never saw fire in Boris. Also, did I miss him being a 1st team all-defense?

They really need to change their policy on this. I understand its still illegal in most places but its really no different than alcohol. He's not hurting anyone. For the record, Im not a fan and never liked it but who cares? He was driving while smoking it. So even if it is similar to drinking, you...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

UNPOPULAR OPINION: The draft is an absolute crap-shoot. Yes, I say this every year. And every year I become more and more convinced that teams who were successful the last couple years simply got lucky. There isnt anywhere near enough data to accurately determine who will be good and who wont. You ...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

So Gambo says we’re interested in Kemba, Russell, Irving, and Brogdon—all players pretty much guaranteed not coming here. I’d be happy with any of these candidates but this has been the MO for the past several offseasons: “we’re going to sign a star!” And then just draft prospects and sign washed v...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

We have a huge talent problem. Booker is far and away the best player on our team. If you go to our 2nd best player (I am not even sure who that is because we have so many people about the same level), they would struggle to be a 3rd best player on any team that made it out of the first round of the...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

I think you only ever trade Booker if he demands it, and only then if you have sat down with the guy and done absolutely everything you can to talk him out of it. He's an imperfect player (especially on defense) but he's our guy and we should want him to retire a Sun. In general, Suns fans (like al...

Ok. I guess we'll wait. Why do you think they are holding out to charge them if they have dirt on them? Political timing? My understanding is that Mueller is a very by-the-books guy. His investigation was to look into conspiracy between Trump / his campaign and Russia, as well as obstruction of jus...

All indications are that there are sealed indictments waiting for them from the SDNY relating to taxes, laundering, etc. How were they not indicted during the Mueller investigation? There are 12 undisclosed items farmed out to other groups (like SDNY). Ok. I guess we'll wait. Why do you think they ...
