Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Not really upset at Holmes for just having some weed. Bad to have it in a car, but this is not nearly as stupid as Jackson's arrest. Wish these guys would be more careful, though. They make enough money to pay a driver, or get an Uber for Pete's sake.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

I think you only ever trade Booker if he demands it, and only then if you have sat down with the guy and done absolutely everything you can to talk him out of it. He's an imperfect player (especially on defense) but he's our guy and we should want him to retire a Sun.

Re: Presidential Pardons

Ok. I guess we'll wait. Why do you think they are holding out to charge them if they have dirt on them? Political timing? My understanding is that Mueller is a very by-the-books guy. His investigation was to look into conspiracy between Trump / his campaign and Russia, as well as obstruction of jus...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

If you're the Wizards, would you accept this offer: TJ Warren, Tyler Johnson, Suns #6, MIL 2020, Suns top 7 protected 2021 pick (rolled over to unprotected in 2022). for Bradley Beal I'm not sure WAS does that. They probably want more assets and/or more salary relief than that. Johnson comes off th...

They'll have to get them in state court. He'll pardon Don Jr, Jared, the whole lot of 'em.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I don't dislike Seth Curry, but he isn't much of a difference-maker. We urgently need a starting PG, and Curry ain't it.

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs

Well, the Warriors are back in the Finals. Most expected that, but there were some claiming that the Rockets had their number. I never bought into that; I think the Rockets are an impressive team but just don't have the talent of a superteam like Golden State. As for the WCF, I thought the Blazers w...

Re: The Dead Pool

I think they'll keep Melton around. Okobo just didn't show me enough this past year. I wish they'd keep Bender but they don't seem to value him much. I thought Bendy showed a lot at the end of this season; I wish they'd at least see if he'd be willing to stay on a 1-2 year deal for cheap. Give the g...

Presidential Pardons

Trump plans to pardon Conrad Black, media mogul who was convicted of fraud in 2007. Black is reputedly a friend of Trump's, and he wrote a book recently called, "Donald J. Trump: A President Like No Other." https://www.npr.org/2019/05/16/723849097/trump-pardons-his-friend-conrad-black-who-wrote-glow...

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs

Raptors made it a series and held serve at home. Good for them. Didn't want the Bucks to walk away with it too easily. Kawhi was brilliant as usual. Looked like he may have hurt himself.

Re: Draft, trades, FA, fantasy rosterbation rebuild

I would be concerned about Morris due to character and chemistry issues. But I do agree that playstyle wise, a player like that would be a good fit.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

Say AD is like - "I'll sign an extension to play with Booker and be in Phx longterm(ish).... ... So I think we're right there in terms of the kind of package we can put together. But will AD sign on long-term here and is a roster of....PG(?), Booker, Bridges/Oubre, PF(?) and Davis a good enough cor...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

I think I’ve decided that shooting needs to be our #1 priority. We’ve got Booker and Ayton as our foundational pieces. We need to surround them with as much shooting as possible. So we should look at any additions as a shooter first. Can they shoot? Then ask what else they can do. Ball handling, pl...

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs

I think that was the series...Portland didn’t really have much of a shot, but they needed that game I was just coming here to post something along those lines. Portland played great, and if they'd won Game 2 in Oakland, I think they had a puncher's chance to pull off an upset in the series. But the...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

What's the case for Randle? Isn't he a bruising PF who doesn't have a very good outside shot? I don't dislike him, I just wonder about the fit. Can we really play him with Ayton in 2019-20's NBA? Isn't that a lot of non-shooting from the frontcourt?

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

It's hard to get used to, but $15m is not a huge contract in the 2019-20 NBA. Even rookies like Zion are going to be making around $9-10m. $15m is slightly over middle-class. Max guys can make upwards of $35-40m. And the cap is what, $110m, $120m? You could literally pay every rotation guy on your ...

Re: War with Iran

There are all kinds of bad rumor mill articles floating around saying that Trump doesn't agree with some of his own advisors and now doesn't want to go to war in Iran? I hate this kind of "palace intrigue" stuff and will mostly judge them on their actions, not leaked rumors about what they might or ...

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs

It is kind of reassuring to know that Bledsoe will choke if he has to take any big shots in tight playoff games. It's like having an inside man sabotaging the Bucks.
