Re: Suns News: Coronavirus Break

How many big men in the NBA would you say are clearly better than Ayton right now? Anthony Davis Joel Embiid Nikola Jokic Karl Anthony Towns? LaMarcus Aldridge? (no) Any others? Giannis is better, but he isn't really the same position as Ayton. So don't we basically have a top-5 big man in the NBA? ...

You've gotta remember that these are simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the New West. You know... morons.

If we win the title this year, even though it'll have an asterisk, I'll take it.

Re: Racism in the US

How is it Republicans today fantasize about the South rising again and fly the Confederate flag? The thing that really blows my mind is that the Confederate flag is being flown proudly by extremists who aren't even in the South. People in the Dakotas, in Oklahoma, in New England are flying it. You ...

Re: Coronavirus

I think it's all a strong sign that our culture in the US has decayed and become one of the worst and most toxic cultures in the world. Basically every other civilized nation (except arguably Brazil and/or India) has a basic understanding and agreement among its citizens to take this situation serio...

Re: War with Iran

By the way, for those of you who remember th dude above, nicknamed "Baghdad Bob" by some in the US, I remember thinking what a boob he was. Going on TV and making clearly false statements to lie and mislead his own country's people. I thought, what a backward country they must be to have their media...

Re: Around the League: Coronavirus Break

Yeah, not to generalize, but I doubt that the NBA players as a group are being super cautious and social distancing and wearing masks everywhere. Some are, I'm sure, but many either don't know or don't care what to do to be safe.

Re: Racism in the US

And what could you be proud about? That would be like being a descendant of Benedict Arnold and proudly displaying his name/portraits every where you go. Yeah, my go-to analogy is that it's like having a flag saying, "I love 9/11" with a photo of a heart and the towers blowing up. The thing they ar...

Re: Coronavirus: When should we be concerned?

Most of the states and areas suffering now are "red" areas, politically. This would all have been very avoidable if the idea of wearing a mask and being safe had not been made politically partisan by our President and his cult.

Re: TV Shows / Movies

I'm not like that at all with TV shows for some reason. I have no desire to watch GoT or the Sopranos again. Maybe if there's a Breaking Bad marathon on TV I'll watch a few episodes and get back into it, but I won't make it a point to watch it on my own. I've re-watched the entirety of Game of Thro...

Re: TV Shows / Movies

I love rewatching movies. There just aren't that many new movies that come out that I really love, so I find take comfort in rewatching a film I know will be excellent. And I almost always find new things to appreciate on the next viewing. I've probably watched No Country 10 times. Love that one. Wa...

Re: Democratic primary watch

From what I read, the Trump campaign does a lot of goofy promotions such as, "Only 10 platinum memberships left! Get yours," or, "Donate today for a chance to meet Trump in Omaha!" Seems cheesy but probably effective at getting people to react. Both campaigns are doing this. I get inundated every d...

The Joker is a hard character to play. Give me Heath Ledger or Jack Nicholson any day over Phoenix's version. To each his own.

Re: TV Shows / Movies

Wife and I watched Joker and really disliked it. It was so dark and depressing, and the movie seemed way too sympathetic to the Joker and the awful life and circumstances that drove him to his life of crime. I found the whole performance kind of awkward by Joaquin Phoenix, who I normally love. The w...
