Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency

Ease back, folks - tweet is from June 27th : https://twitter.com/SportsTalkZac/status/482676378588811264 Agreed. If this was legit, we would have heard more about it by now. Now, I don't doubt that McDonough could pull a big trade out of thin air though. He got Bledsoe for a 2nd and Dudley last yea...

Re: Around the league: June 2014

Or maybe he is just duping everyone so that they hold out for something that isn't going to happen while the Heat swoop in on the lower tier FAs that they should be pursuing.

I am curious what the starting lineup is going to be. This is going to be must watch TV this summer. I might even have to make a trip to Vegas, Baby!

Re: Around the league: June 2014

It's 'only' three years so in a way it's not that horrible, but if Meeks is getting more than 6M per after putting up what looks like the proverbial empty stats on a team going nowhere and fighting for nothing, only God knows what the real prices in FA will command. And for Detroit it's not just th...

Agent Henry Thomas, on report clients Bosh & Wade will take $12M/per & $11M/per, respectively: "all the BS you are reading is just that." So does this mean that there is more or less of a chance that these guys are possibly bolting the Heat? Is it the Heat that are putting these n...

Re: Around the league: June 2014

I can imagine Riley and his face getting red, veins bulging out screaming at them to take less because they shouldn't be pussies to try to win a title in frustration.

Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency

I tend to think that Hayward, Parsons, Bledsoe, and Gortat will all get more than their suggested AAV. In fact, if history is any indication, all the top FAs will get more than suggested.

10. Gordon Hayward | SF | RFA 2013-14 Team: Utah Jazz 2013-14 Salary: $3.5 million Suggested AAV: $10.0 million/year, four years Hayward bears similarity to Parsons in style of play, but did not benefit from the high-level help that Parsons did.
