Re: With the FIRST pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns select...

I want a guy focused on basketball, not his brand. Ayton seems to want to be a personality and called himself an "entertainer" during the Puma signing. I don't want Amar'e or DHow looking to be a fashion star or movie producer. I want a guy with a singular focus on basketball and winning....

Re: With the FIRST pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns select...

Yes, you are crazy. Sorry Split, don’t shoot the messenger! Sure, Fultz could potentially still turn things around and become a star in this league. Given how his first season went down I would however estimate our chances of that actually happening to hover around 40-60% or so. That makes a trade ...

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread

Honestly this whole thing is a crapshoot. Nobody actually knows who will be the best player out of Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, Bamba, JJJ, Porter Jr, Young and company. The top 8 of this draft is absolutely stacked and I continue to think that Ayton, Doncic and Bagley are a tier above the rest but that'...

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread

I am afraid I might overvalue Doncic because I believe he is some kind of a basketball Jesus. Might even cry a little bit if we do not end up drafting him somehow. Also, if it happens, I am kinda hoping he gets to a real crappy team so that he might get sick of their shit show and we can get him via...

Re: RE: Re: With the FIRST pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns select...

Holidays assist numbers have gone up in each of his 3 years...he actually breaks that 6 assist barrier in a decent number of games...he's known for having good court vision, for me the X factor in what distinguishes a good PG. I think if we can snag him at 16, we'll be happy. Trae and he are the tw...

Re: RE: Re: With the FIRST pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns select...

My worry with Doncic is that he's just ok. I don't think he'll bust and he'll be a very useful player, but I don't really see superstar. His athleticism is pretty meh. I think it's definitely possible he improves that with better training, but I can see it being a limiting factor in his development...

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Lottery

https://twitter.com/theScore/status/997520170145992704 Here comes more talk of Suns adding #4 pick to the first pick Problem is they need win now pieces and we don't really have any unless they value Warren in that sense. And if you are a third team that provides relevant vets for MEM in exchange f...

Re: With the FIRST pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns select...

I am on team Luka. Even though I usually prefer not to draft Euros. However, to me, the word "engine" sums up nicely what I believe Doncic could bring to our franchise. He is not only very talented but also extremely competitive. He has a fantastic attitude/mindset and just wants to win so...

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Lottery

I am so happy I stayed up for this. Good news everyone. A great day for all Phoenix Suns fans around the globe! I wish I knew who I want with that pick. Really hope Ryan and his team are smarter than me. Right now I kinda like Doncic and JJJ but would prefer to make a deal and get one of them with a...

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Lottery

I am in Ireland. It is 12:30 am. How can I watch this live? And yes, i know I will be even more upset when i have to get up at 6am after we get the 4th pick. I am in Berlin at the moment and I am watching via reddit/nbastreams. There is a sticky post there offering a few streams - took the first on...

Re: Who's your top guy at 16 if we keep the pick.

And roll! Exactly this  I have Porter as our first option too but I fear he will not be there when we pick. People are torn on him though. Shake will almost certainly be there but he of course doesn't make too much sense if we don't end up drafting a big guy with our 1-4 pick. So for me this q...

Re: RE: Re: Earl Watson Fired

What's with the Van Gundy hard-on? The guy hasn't coached in 10 years, and his last team had Yao and T-Mac. Not only do I think he's not that great of a hire, but he'd cost a fortune. Pass. 748 NBA games coached. 58% winning percentage as a Head Coach in the NBA. He'll be coaching the USA Men's Bas...
