Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
I also just think in that specific trade mentioned, the 1st round pick is a bad one(it’s like the worst of 4 teams) and Ryan Dunn seems likely to be out of the rotation. Even for those who like Green, Garland is a better fit and I’d love to hear an argument for Green over Garland. They haven ...

Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
But for real. Let’s throw them Green, Dunn and a first for Garland.
Clippers losing their picks does help us get a slightly better player each year, assuming we’d finish behind of them in the draft order.

5 straight years without first round picks? Ishbia says “challenge accepted.”

Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
I like the Kuminga move for the wolves. That's a super athletic trio in their starting lineup around Lamelo (and then Gobert).
This may be a shocking take, but I'd much rather pay Kuminga $6.5M a year than surrender an unprotected FRP for the right to pay Miles Bridges $23M/year and lock ourselves ...

Definitely possible that this was us doing him a favor and another team had interest in making a waiver claim on him and signaled that to his agent.

Even though I think he looked decent for us at times and was a good value signing, it's hard to see how he fit in to the rotation after we drafted Peat. I wonder if his knee is not fully healed considering he was never cleared after he hurt ...

This doesn’t seem great. Maybe not getting enough attention in the Sunsphere.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
The Brooks extension is better than I thought it would be, I just don't think it will age well unless he's willing to drastically change his game.
He's at the apex of his career right now, and it's a 3-year contract that'll expire when he's 34. It's also yet to be disclosed if the final ...

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
If not for the Bridges trade I think the off-season has gone better than I could have possibly anticipated.
I agree, but it's a little "other than that, how was Dallas, Mrs. Kennedy?" for me.

Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
I wonder if we would have made the same offer to Utah for Lauri that we made for Bridges if Utah would have pulled the trigger.
Same with Dallas and PJ Washington (without offering the pick). I think they would have.
Utah wouldn't touch that unless we offered at least 3 firsts 😆 Danny Ainge ...

Re: Suns trade Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale for Miles Bridges
Sports teams operate like a public trust, inexorably linked to the people, and often the vibe and mood of an entire city. Choosing to trade for a POS automatically associates that POS as part of the fabric of the community at large.

I don’t think we would have ultimately had a chance against the Sixers lineup but I think it was a mistake not to full court press LeBron to be our starting PG.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
I think he’s just wrong about the lottery rules changing making the pick not as valuable..if anything it made the pick more valuable as it doesn’t require the suns to be bad to be a good pick. He’s also just very dismissive of the possibility that something weird happens and we are bad that year ...

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Only saw Rankin’s description for why we were comfortable giving away an unprotected frp and it’s as dumb as you expect. Especially when he spent the first half of the press conference describing why this trade was such a hard decision in the first place.

Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
It would be a dick move, and K-Ray seems like a good guy, but if we were looking to upgrade our broadcast, Calabro would be a massive upgrade. K-Ray is fine, but Calabro is top-5.
