Re: Suns hire Monty Williams to be the 20th Head Coach in franchise history

This is the most optimistic I’ve been about this team in awhile. Sarver is saying the right things, everyone around him is supporting him and agree that he’s changed. We have two guys(Jones and Williams)in charge who are very highly respected in the nba. We have an experienced front office guy(Bowe...

I wasn't advocating for him. Just throwing it out there.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

I'm really not sweating his trade request 2 years from now. He has no leverage until at least 3.5 years in to his new deal.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Tacko Fall at 32? From Sam Vecenie's Athletic Draft Combine Recap: Tacko Fall, UCF: I’ll be honest, I wrote off Fall as a potential draft pick a couple of years ago. I didn’t think there was ever any way that a guy who struggles that much with general coordination would be able to play in the modern...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

So Gambo says we’re interested in Kemba, Russell, Irving, and Brogdon—all players pretty much guaranteed not coming here. I’d be happy with any of these candidates but this has been the MO for the past several offseasons: “we’re going to sign a star!” And then just draft prospects and sign washed v...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Very talented, but very risky https://twitter.com/mike_schmitz/status/1131292157535432704?s=21 I told y'all once he got into workouts he was going to rise up the boards. Could go before us to Cleveland. I think he will play a small 4 in the league like Paul George because of his 7''1" wingspan. Loo...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

I just can't see it as Conley or bust. I think we'll be just fine if we stay in the draft, trade TJ and Josh, and go hunting in free agency. You have to remember that we got next to nothing from the 1 and 4 spots. It's not going to be hard to improve if you address both of those spots with solid, p...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

I'd happily spend $30M on Conley for these next two years. He's got a game that will age nicely. He's a good defender. He can play on and off the ball. And I honestly think he can turn us into a borderline playoff team. That's worth the extra cost. I'd also give up #6 for him in a trade if that's w...

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs

Healthy Draymond is probably the best possible PF fit for the Suns in the NBA, even with his wonky 3-point shooting. His passing, defense and energy would all be amazing for us.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

You're right. He's fine. We just need a lot more than fine. We totally do. We just don't have the space or the assets because we've missed on several high lottery picks. What can you do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've made my suggestions. Do you have any besides Conley? What would you do if Memphis isn’t trading C...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

I see 18...I’m not gonna say Ja is better and Ball/Beverley are not better. So he’s around 20. Problem is, no one bette rthan him is available except Conley(old and expensive), Dragic(old and expensive) and then free agents we don’t have enough money for (kemba, Kyrie, Brogdon, Russell) Collison is...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

I wouldn't. If that's our offseason, then we're last in the West again and it isn't close. The # 6 pick in a crappy draft, Dedmon and Collison don't do anything for the short term outlook of this team and barely dent the long term trajectory. Dedmon is fine, but he's a middling option and I'm surpr...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

And 35th best? I will admit that I don't watch every game around the league, but if there are 35 better PGs out there, I am not seeing them. Although I will admit that I am not thinking about guys we have no chance (or shouldn't want) to get. Here are the PGs I think are better (next season), Salar...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

I would be extremely happy with our off season if we find a way to keep #6, sign Dedmond and Collison for 10M/year each for 3-4 years, and Oubre for 12/3. We would have to export TJ^2 and please don't trade Josh if you are taking a beating/giving up resources to do it. I wouldn't. If that's our off...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I really hope all of this talk of us not pursuing Conley is just a smokescreen. He's a perfect on-court and off-court fit for us and I don't think there's such a strong market for him. Utah would be smart to target him as well.
