Re: 2014 NBA Draft

Kind of iffy on Saric. A lot of drama around him the past 2-3 years with his draft status, the teams he's played for, his father being overly involved, inconsistency with his game...

Re: First Round: Chicago Bulls (4) vs. Washington Wizards (5

Yea he's a solid 3rd, 4th option. He tried bluffing the Lakers and they had Artest lined up. He went to Houston to be the man and saw how hard it can be, then went to no man's land in Washington. He can be a contributer for sure and is basically the x-factor on that team. They're a frontcourt player...

Re: Around the League: Week of 4/21-4/27

The problem with the pacers is mostly personnel. George Hill shouldn't be their starting PG (or anyone's). Lance thinks he's a 1st option and he's a 3rd option, everyone was quick to annoint Paul George as a #1 type superstar but he's a great #2. Hibbert has always suffered from confidence issues an...

Re: Around the League: Week of 4/21-4/27

I don't think it has anything to do with coaching. I think the players need to be more accountable.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

With Early, not sure why but watching him reminded of of Frye when he hung around the perimeter. Long, lanky perimeter guy. Again, he's a smaller player, can do more with the ball and clearly isn't a 6-11 stretch big. I don't think he's a pure 3 tho.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

I don't think Early is a fluid, natural SF but more of a smaller, versatile Channing Frye type who can do a bit more offensively. A Shawne Williams type 3/4 but he's not a perimeter player who can handle and make plays off the dribble like a natural swingman.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

Yeah, I kind of hesitate at the notion that Plumlee can be developed. I think there are small improvements in his game he can make, and he can work on being able to produce more consistently, but in general, I feel he is what he is. I don't think he took a giant leap from his rookie season to his s...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

I definitely respect Popovich and his coaching. He's mastered the NBA schedule and knows his roster inside and out, but Hornacek really deserved it. If we had made the playoffs maybe he gets it?

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

I'd try to sell him on being the man here, coming into a good situation where he can win more and try to get him starting at 15.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

I actually think we need that go-to frontcourt guy for some reliable halfcourt offense. He can run the floor, finish in transition, pass from up high. I think playing in Miami toughened him up a bit, gave him much needed experience and grit. He could be that veteran to lead the younger group. My onl...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

The only real upgrade to be made, however, seems to be Kevin Love or Chris Bosh.

That's been my thinking as well. Bosh keeps coming to mind for some reason and I keep going back and forth on him.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

I know they came up big for us and contributed, but what's their real upside and potential? I'm sure they can be OK as bench guys, but then Frye has to go. I don't care either way, i just don't feel like they're indispensable.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

It's one thing to be hesitant about tampering with a 60-win team, it's another to be gun shy with a team that missed the playoffs. ...just missed the playoffs. If Bledsoe's healthy, who knows what happens. We were almost a 50 win team out of nowhere so obviously something is going right. Keeping gu...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

Frye's a keeper IMO. He's just not a starter because he's a feast or famine type and that can't be your starting PF. But he's a super-sub. I also love Plumlee and wouldn't want to see him pushed aside. I don't know if he's a starter, but he could be because he hustles, boards and runs the floor. And...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

That Henson/Hawes frontcourt doesn't do much for me. I see where you're going with it, but I don't love it. Kinda soft... Henson's a tough player to commit to because he's really frail. Can he guard 4s every night and bang? Can he take that pounding? I love the idea of him for sure, just not sure he...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2013-2014: Year In Review

We'll have to agree to disagree. Doesn't seem like i'll convince you, but i do want to state that i'm not anti-Gerald Green or just looking to get rid of him. He's a guy I wanted on those Nash-led teams because of his length and athleticism. He's a guy i'd love to see us keep for the next 3-4 years ...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2013-2014: Year In Review

I like Green a lot. I just think he's a case where you sell high because he's going to get more than he's worth on the FA market after another strong year with us. So package him now with a lower pick to move up if you can, and draft a guy to take his place.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

I'm still not sold on the Morris bros long term and I think NY could have interest in them because of their potential in the triangle. Is Green a long term fit here or could we draft his replacement this year with one of the picks? I think Chandler is that much of a difference maker defensively, and...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2013-2014: Year In Review

Going into next year, i think we have 9 guys under contract. if we keep Ish Smith, that's 10. So we could draft 3 guys and sign a vet or 2 and be ok. I'd be cautious about taking 3 rookies and putting them on this team. They'd have to be the right rooks, maybe 2 solid college vets and a less polishe...

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

I'm a big Tyson Chandler fan and a lot of what he brings doesn't show up on paper. If we didn't have Frye or Dragic or Tucker, I'd be more inclined to bring him in because of his hard work and leadership ability. He's legit and can help a young team with his presence on and off the court. But becaus...
