Re: Predict 2019-20 Suns # of wins

My gut tells me on paper this is at least a 40 win team. But with this being the first year the roster is together with a new coach, there are going to be some bumps. Just tough to say. But I'm actually very optimistic about the makeup of the roster (maybe more than most), all things being equal. I ...

Re: Predict 2019-20 Suns # of wins

What's the word on Diallo? He doesn't block as many shots as I thought and has played mostly at the 4. If we're relying on him and Kaminsky this year we'll be in big trouble but those two should complement each other and give us some different looks off the bench.

Re: Predict 2019-20 Suns # of wins

I don't mind Kaminsky as a player and an outside shooting big off the bench, but he was an overpay.

Re: 2019 FIBA World Cup

Baynes played the final game with a strained groin. Hopefully he's not too limited once training camp starts but that's the kind of injury that can linger.

Re: Suns sign Rubio

Yea Rubio won MVP of the tourney playing some great basketball. Great to see him play well after a down year in Utah and we'll need the kind of on-court leadership he showed the past few weeks. Just want him well rested to make sure he doesn't burn out or get injured.

Re: Democratic Primary Debates

Biden is becoming, or is, senile. Propping him up because he's a household name and it's "his turn" will be a mistake for the Dems.

Re: 2019 FIBA World Cup

Does anyone really care about international ball outside of the Olympics? The team sent over was pretty trash with regards to international play/style and the talent other teams are putting out. Jaylen Brown? Marcus Smart? Plumlee? I get the list of players willing to sign up was thin, but you need ...

Re: Suns sign Rubio

Roster was a disaster and the coach was a bad fit last season. I don't think we'd have topped 30 wins with a better coach because nothing would've helped with us starting the season with Canaan, Okobo, Melton at PG, Ariza at SF and Ryno at PF. I do think we could've been more competitive and not got...

Re: The Next Suns Power Forward

Yea but to what end? Where would Griffin get us to? 40 wins and still missing the playoffs? He wouldn't make us contenders and we'd be stuck with a injury prone player who has 3 years 100+mil left on his deal. If we were at 35-38 wins last year and looking to make a jump, I might be more interested ...

As much crap as Booker's taking for not playing, Gobert killed the US so not sure where all the criticism is for the bigs who dropped out.

Re: The Next Suns Power Forward

I love the "Dario Saric will be better than Kevin Love, Aaron Gordon, and Blake Griffen over the next couple of years" takes. It is such a suns fan optimism, because that is all we have left. I don't know that he'll be better but I'll take his youth, versatility and potentially cheaper contract ove...

Re: The Next Suns Power Forward

Saric is a basketball player, Gordon plays basketball. Maybe it's his athleticism or he's a UA guy but Suns fans have this infatuation with Gordon. He's a nice player, great athlete but highly overrated imo. And Saric's rebounds per 36 are actually higher than Gordon's. I also don't think Gordon's a...

Re: The Next Suns Power Forward

Hoping he doesn't break out with us and sign for big money elsewhere leaving us to fill that void again. He's a prototype 4 imo, especially opposite a guy like Ayton.

Re: The Next Suns Power Forward

Blake can't stay healthy and really needs the ball to be effective. That's a lot of money tied up between him, Booker and Ayton. I'd rather let TJ go at the end of the year and try and re-sign Saric (provided he proves himself) for half Blake's money.
