Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Yea that's weird. Kellan Olson posted a shot of it with the bomb.

Either way, maybe Oubre will just sign a deal with us and not even listen to teams.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I was just being funny. I was under the impression we could have both guys if we stretched Tyler. Maybe we will. Seems like an easy decision.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

"Ok Devin, take your pick - Kelly or D'Angelo".

Could you imagine Devin's reaction if we don't even make a play for Russell and then decide not to match Kelly.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Oubre's a 3rd star worth 20-24mil on a good team. Problem is, our 1st star is a SG, 2nd is a C and we have no PG. Building around a SG is incredibly tough and we're seeing the impact on the cap now. I think Oubre is worth 20-24 in this market. Could we get by with a less talented PG is the question....

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Knicks won't spend their money him. I think the Clips, Pels or Kings could make a play for him.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Again, I think 20-24 is the market if a team really wants him. I think matching over 20 is tough for us. We still have Bridges and Cam now, but would he take less to stay here with Book?

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Even if Monty isn't coaching the team, he'll be in Vegas with the team running thru his system when they practice I'm sure. He just may not be physically coaching them on the sidelines. Not like Blake or Green are coaching the team and he's sitting at home just hanging out. And I'd expect to see Boo...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

A stretch 4 in some situations, sure why not. Maybe not this year but it's possible once/if he adds some weight. And you'd hope that since hes 32 years old he's a bit stronger.

Re: Free Agent Targets

They also have Winslow who's kind of what we wanted JJ to be and they just drafted Herro and Okpala who are both SG/SFs.

Re: Free Agent Targets

I think it's still tough in the West, with what would be still a young team in its first season together with a new coach. On paper, yea I think we'd arguably be more talented than a team like the Spurs, Clips (this year's version) and Thunder. Does that mean we'd be better? Not necessarily. If we h...

Geez, I thought we were looking at 18 minimum. I'd take him at 14 for sure.

Re: Free Agent Targets

Not sure if this has been discussed but - at what number are we not matching an offer sheet for Oubre? Is there a team out there that would throw a ton of money at him, even if it were to get us to match?

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Still not sold on him as a max player or even a good fit, much less a PG. He was also struggling to play next LeVert early last year and only seemed to find his game and break out after LeVert got injured. At this point tho, if we can land a big name if free agency who wants to be here I won't argue.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

From Lowe's article: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/27037915/kyrie-dangelo-how-brooklyn-handle-difficult-decision The Suns will sign a veteran point guard, and Devin Booker has campaigned for Russell -- a close friend. But other voices within the Suns may not share Booker's unabashed enthusiasm...
