Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

My head says that Bridges, Warren and #6 for Jrue is fair, but my heart says that it's a bad idea. If only Josh Jackson had a sliver of value. I think with the number of attainable, reliable PGs out there, Bridges, Warren, and #6 is an overpay for Jrue at this point. If he was somehow the final pie...

Re: Who to pick at 6

With all the bad luck the Warriors had, I wonder if they might entertain trading Draymond. TJ Warren would be really good in their system I think. Maybe they might consider TJ, Jackson, and the #6? That can help rebuild their bench, add some guys on reasonable contracts, especially if they still gi...

My preference for right now is to move #6 to Atlanta for #10/#17.
This would be great, since I think there's a good chance Clarke will still be there at #10. I'd consider it a pretty successful offseason if we were to somehow end up drafting Clarke and trading for Dinwiddie.

Would you offer Durant a max contract if he opted out and nobody else did?
I would. I think he's in great shape, and I don't think I would classify his game as one that over-relies on athleticism. I think he'll return to being a top-5 player for at least a couple of years.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I don't know how to share it, and I'm not sure if it means anything, but Official Suns Facebook page posted a photo of Oubre's eye with a backdrop of a statue or something with "#Shhh" 2 hours ago. I assume it means that they're re-signing him? It would be a pretty odd post if they weren't....

Re: Who to pick at 6

I go back and forth between Hunter and Clarke. I like Clarke's offensive play better than Hunter; but I like Hunter's defensive play better than Clarke. So I picked Hunter today just because I think he and Bridges could be a really nice defensive duo. But I would be happy with either at 6.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

I really like Clarke. I wouldn't have a problem if we kept our pick at #6 and drafted him. Just watching Gonzaga games, looking more at highlights recently, I just think he would fit in really well here.

I think my bold prediction is that the Raptors win in 7, and Kawhi still leaves.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season

If I'm New Orleans, I think I try and make it work with AD until the deadline. It's not like his value is going to decrease or anything crazy just because the deadline is coming up; I just think AD would reconsider if the team was winning. Plus, I think it would be hard to walk away from the super m...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

I think with as shallow as this draft is perceived, Garland isn't going to be there at #6. I think it's possible the Knicks take him at #3 (especially if they're picking him for some other team), but there's no way he's falling past Cleveland at #5. I think he just kind of fits in perfect with Sext...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

I just don’t know if Zion will be that dominant in the NBA. I have concerns about both his height and his weight. Also, he relies heavily on his athleticism, which will diminish with age and could diminish quickly with just a single injury. He's a phenomenal athlete, but I don't think he over relie...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

https://twitter.com/sam_vecenie/status/1126486534289367040?s=21 Would you trade #2 for Ben? I would I wouldn't. I think Morant could be the best point guard in the league one day. I think Simmons lack of a jumper is a huge drawback. You just have to be able to at least be a threat to score consiste...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I'm not as down on Rozier as most, but I think I'd rather go hard after Brogdon for that kind of money (assuming we don't get Morant). McConnell would also be a good fill-in till we find a long-term solution. Now, if we were to get Zion, I think I would do my best to get Kemba Walker. Walker, Booker...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

If the Suns win the lottery and the Knicks come in a place where Ja was still available. How much do you think they would give up to move to #1? Just curious what you all think? How much would you ask for? I don't think they would do it, but I'd ask for their pick and Kevin Knox. I'm not even entir...

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread

Who would you target in a trade down? In draft and asset attached? Assuming the Suns land #1. Going after Conley or Jrue are kind of obvious, but matching salaries and giving up an asset like Zion complicates things. Zion, TJx2 for Bradley Beal, WAS 2019 lottery pick and a future protected 1st? Zio...

Re: Suns fire Head Coach Igor Kokoskov

Becky Hammon? She's my dark horse. She would be awesome, but if I was her, there's no way I'd try to be the first female coach under Sarver. He would just set her up for failure... I actually liked Igor; sure, I thought our offense could be a lot better and we could have utilized Ayton way more, bu...
