Re: Around the League: September
Ridiculous is how a Duke-educated, middle-aged man repeats comments that sound straight out of a early 1900s KKK manifesto. Unless "Duke-educated" means David Duke.

Re: Around the League: September
Not really. If a group of us are talking and somebody call's another person's wife a c-nt and I start repeating to others outside the group that so-and-so's wife is a c-nt, it gets me off the hook that supposedly the slur didn't originate with me? Really? Ferry's comments, whether his or a scout's, ...

I think Kareen's take was solid on Levenson, who was giving an unvarnished marketing assessment.
As for Danny Ferry, he's stereotyping inthe worst way, painting residents of an entire, huge continent with simple-minded, broad brush strokes. He should know better.

Re: Phoenix Mercury appreciation thread
Perhaps the best offensive team ever in the WNBA? The Mercury may have pushed the ball a bit better when Cappie Pondexter was on the team, but every member of this starting five is a threat to score 20 every night. And Griner's post game keeps improving ...

Re: The Buzzsaw That Is The Arizona Cardinals
Nice comeback win, but I'm not feeling unqualified love, yet. Rivers had a crapload of dropped balls; he should sue his receivers for lack of support. And Ellington illustrates the problem with smallish backs; there's always some big grizzly bear of an interior lineman going to rip the ball out of h...

I remember hearing on the radio doing Phoenix Giants games in the mid-60s. And also spinning discs as a weekend jockey on the old Top-40 AM radio station, KRUX.

Barbs is poop, dunno why he's in the NBA. I thought he looked decent last year. He just never got into a rhythm with his shot. Yeah, he looked decent, save for his 1.6/1 assist-to-turnover ratio and 28% shooting behind the arc. And his injuries. I'm happy that he signed with Golden State and gets a...

Re: Around the League: July 2014
Supposedly, JYD regained all the weight he was lugging around when he first was traded to the Suns. Without Phoenix's trainers to keep him away from junk food and keep him trim, he got sloppy again. And that contributed to minor injuries. Junk yard dog became a fat old hound on the porch ...

Hello everyone!! I was YGR on the old site. I have no idea the new site was up. Mori, thanks for creating the site, it's fantastic. WOW, it's so good to see everyone again. YGR should be in the "net" hall of fame. Used PayPal to buy a group of us a round of drinks at a get-together before...

I don't Black has supported any candidate for a long time. He once was Republican, but gave up on them. When I've seen him in the last couple of years, he's made fun of both sides with fairly equal vitriol.

Everywhere that I have seen articles or posts about this situation, the user comments are like 99% in favor of not raising our offer and sticking to the 4/48. Nobody wants to max this guy out. You don't bid against yourself for a player you control. And essentially that's what the Suns would be doi...

Partisanship on both sides have the country sicker than a person who hasn't taken a crap in a month. “The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and the...

Mark Grace didn't go to tent city until after his second offense. My guess is Tucker gets probation, maybe a stint in rehab. And the NBA spanks him with a two-game suspension.
