Man, if only we had gone after Smart last year instead of DAR this year. :(
Gross
What's your problem with Smart?
Really? Smart does nothing to move the needle or make us a better team. It excites me as much as signing Ariza.
Seriously

Re: Free Agent Targets

I'm going to ask again something it appears no one has the huevos to answer. With Ayton, Booker, D'Lo...one would expect we have the making of a big 3. D'Lo is obvious, Booker also...and I think our unstated general expectation is that Ayton with a real, distributing PG thrives. That would be our t...

Re: NBA DRAFT 2019 THREAD

Yep. There's really no logic to defend it. Even if Cam is your guy, no excuse not to move back and pick up another asset. Who's to say that another team in the 15-30 range was willing to give up an asset to trade up to 11? Could've the FO had some indication that another team was targeting Cam John...

Re: Free Agent Targets

I think we're undervaluing the potential of Russell...a starting lineup of... Russell Booker Ayton Saric Oubre ... sounds pretty interesting. What would be the prediction on W/L if we followed through on that? Stretch Tyler, etc., sign Russell...what does that get us? I think with that lineup we pu...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Ya, we are set up pretty nicely to strike out big in 2020 or 2021 free agency. A big reason why I don’t think we need to do anything drastic this free agency. Just sign a competent pg to a 2 year deal and go from there. Fixed that for you. Nobody’s coming to Phx in FA unless we turn this clown show...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I agree on Joseph. He has some value in that he takes care of the ball, defends, and has a decent 3-point shot, but he isn't worth a multi-year deal at significant, mid-level money. MLE for him would not be bad depending on your context. The upside is limited but so is the financial commitment of a...

Re: Free Agent Targets

You need to acquire a star and win enough games that role players will come here for market value or less.

Splurging on role players that don’t move the needle enough to impact the overall W-L is how we ended up with Ariza and Anderson.

Dedmon is on the same level as the other players you mentioned from Detroit. He’s more skilled, but he’s a role player nonetheless. You’re drowning in contradiction

Re: Free Agent Targets

Call Dedmon asap with 4 years starting at $14M and I think you have a pretty good chance. Too much for me. I wouldn't offer more than 3yrs/$33 million. Sure, for me too. But your offer needs to beat the ones from better teams. No, it doesn’t. That’s how you end up capped out as a marginal team like...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I’d easily stretch and waive TJ and trade Jackson and sign Brogdon or DLo or Kyrie. Or at least try. Kyrie doesn't want to come here, and those moves won't create enough room for him. He is in supermax territory now. I'm all for going after Brogdon, I just don't think he is attainable; Milwaukee is...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

This is Hakim Warrick, H**o T******u and C*******s all over again. Blowing our money on below average players instead of signing stars and then filling out the roster on cheap deals. The Suns don't have the money to sign "stars." The cap space they're looking at right now is just above the mid-leve...
