I don't understand the Hot Rod hate. I can understand hating the trade that brought him here (not his fault), and being frustrated with his injuries (also not his fault), but he played well for us and didn't have character issues. He doesn't deserve to be on the list.

If a long-term deal happens, all the mishegas this summer will quickly be forgotten by all but the likes of us. All that will matter to normal people is whether he plays up to whatever contract he ends up getting.

I do have to give Paul some credit. It wasn't long ago I was criticizing him for not doing anything for his client. I said he was supposed to work the phones and get offers for his client. Now he has. This is a weak play, but it's a play. Instead of just sitting around waiting for his phone to ring ...
