Re: Suns News: The Offseason

That's probably right and it's no bad thing if these Suns keep things in house. I just know when I check in on their site for draft into I'm rarely impressed (albeit I may be expecting too much).

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

If ever there was an article worthy of the eye roll, it's that one. On a related note, there seems to be almost no news/insight on azcentral about what the Suns' draft plans are. Are they seriously shopping a pick/picks? Moving up? trading out? Who are they targeting at 14 and 18? Isn't this the kin...

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft

Hey Inf, there's a mock draft on FoxSports website that has the Suns taking Lavine at 14, Warren at 18 and Anderson at 27. I reckon that would make your draft day!

Incredible finals performance by the Spurs. The Heat had NO answer for their quality passing game and were completely demoralised by the end. It was beautiful to watch

Re: Phoenix Suns 2014: Offseason Moves

I'd rather pass. Gasol just doesn't seem to fit the kind if team we're building - he's slowing down, isn't a great defender and while he's a tremendously skilled scorer and passer from the post he pouts if he's not getting the ball there what he considers enough (which with dragic and Bledsoe and ou...

I really don't believe anything any front office type says at this time of the year about who they like and what they're trying to do. I consider it all a smokescreen until proven different.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

I agree Capela is high on the Suns' wish list, just reading between the lines. I also wonder if McDonough talking about picks like this is a way of shaking the tree, so to speak, to gauge what teams would give up for one/some of the picks.

The pacers are going to get smashed in the next game. The fact they only just won at home with LeBron soo quiet equals trouble ahead for them

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/50661 But the fact that Embiid is probably a couple years away from being an impact player in the NBA is giving them pause (his back is an issue too, but that should be resolved soon one way or the other as both the Cavs and Embiid's agent are negotiating a...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

Inf, is it possible you're over thinking one comment from McDonough? The one where he said it was unlikely the Suns would bring in 3 rookies, which from memory was in an article talking up Len and Goodwin. (Apologies if there's been more chatter about the Suns losing a pick one way or the other but ...

Re: WCF: San Antonio Spurs (1) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (2)

The Thunder are destroying the Spurs in this one. Their d is terrific and has forced San Antonio into a lot of 1on1 stuff, which isn't their strength obviously. The Spurs also look very slow (and Diaw looks enormous)

Beal was enormous in the last quarter. Every time the Pacers threatened to make a little run, it seemed he would hit a clutch basket.

Which when you've got Sefolosha and Perkins in your starting 5 isn't a massive surprise. You could get away with one but not both, IMO.

Chris Paul is just destroying the Thunder - 8/9 three-pointers, 30 points, 8 assists (only 2 turnovers). Incredible game

Re: Second Round: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Washington Wizards

I like Stephenson, but from what I've seen he's pressing too much. As is George for that matter. But their biggest issue is Hibberd - 18 minutes, 0 points, 0 rebounds. You've got to be kidding me.

Re: Second Round: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Washington Wizards

The Pacers look like they're in big trouble. Their d isn't anything like what it used to be (they just let a white-hot Ariza shoot an uncontested 3-pointer, for example) and there's too much 1on1 stuff on offence (hello Lance Stephenson!). Also, Hibberd is pretty much unplayable at the moment for In...
