Re: Do we already have our team?

If healthy, al horford is the best option. It's conceivable that he would become available and is very solid. He's not elite at anything, although I'd argue his mid range jumper is close, but he's good at everything. He'll rebound, play D, make good passes, score down low, hit open shots and run the...

Re: Around the League: Week 1 10/27-11/2

He was a highly ranked highschool player who had two up and down seasons at Baylor. Showed a lot of star potential but a lot of bust potential as well. He was once considered a high lottery pick, but fell on draft night to the end of the first where okc picked him up. This has really been his first ...

Re: Around the League: Week 1 10/27-11/2

I'm not sure, it's gonna be hard in the west if they dig themselves a pretty big whole. Any initial word on Westbrook?

Edit: Fractured hand for Westbrook. This might be a tough year for the thunder.

They were essentially the same last year offensively. Klay shot a touch better from 3 but Gerald is definitely more athletic. Klay has a reputation as a great defender though and Gerald does not. I haven't paid much attention to klay's D though.

Re: Around the League: Week 1 10/27-11/2

Clippers hold off the no Durant,Westbrook,Jackson, morrow, lamb thunder, 93-90. I only caught the end, but perry jones fills in and drops a 32/7/3 line and looked pretty good. And Ibaka has sure extended that range. I knew he was great from the mid range, but he was coming off screens and drilling 3's...

Utah hasn't looked good early on, I think we take that one. 12-6 is my guess

True, there are a lot of details we don't know, I was making the assumption he had a simple transverse fracture. If it was a spiral fracture or involved the ankle it could be more serious

Re: Around the League: Week 1 10/27-11/2

Depends on what they mean by full recovery, the bone would be healed and able to play on in about 6 months. He'd have a lot of training to do to get the leg back to its original strength pre fracture do to the inability to use it, but 2 years seems very excessive. Kevin ware played in a basketball g...

Re: Around the League: Week 1 10/27-11/2

I didn't watch the whole game, but I don't see how this laker team finishes anywhere but last in the west. They're awful and I don't think we're getting that pick

Re: Around the League: Week 1 10/27-11/2

Mostly cuz none of our big men will play consistent enough minutes and we have two above average rebounders on the perimeter. We won't be a good rebounding team, but we'll be ok. Tucker and Bledsoe both are great rebounders at their position and plumlee is good in limited minutes.

Re: Around the League: Week 1 10/27-11/2

Vucevic with 20 boards in the 3rd Q. I really like Orlando. They aren't gonna win a lot this year but they are loaded with young talent. Payton is gonna be a good pg, very likeable style of play as well. Aaron Gordon even hit a corner 3, though he followed it up with an airball. Tobias Harris looks ...

With everyone healthy they play good defense, we'll see if it lasts. Hopefully it does, I got bogut and Igoudala on my fantasy team

Jrue, when healthy, is probably their 2nd best player. Ryan is great offensively, but he's not much of a defensive presence

Re: Around the League: October

At his prime during his 7SOL Marion was not overpaid. He did too many things and was too good for the system to call him that. He was not perfect, but since there is no cap on max contracts, turns out there are different ways to be worth the max. I believe Kawhi's impact can be on Marion's level an...

Re: Around the League: October

I just don't know what further development he is going to have to justify paying him the max. Like INF said, he's not a go-to scorer, he plays great D, rebounds, hits open shots, and can be a secondary or tertiary scorer, but that's his ceiling. We had a guy who had similar liabilities who was bette...

Re: Around the League: October

I love kawhi leonard, but i agree, people thinking he is a max player or a star player are mistaken. He's a world class role player. I couldn't believe #nbarank put him in the top 25. He was a good 15 spots too high

Re: 2014-15 regular season predictions

I like the monta-parsons-dirk combo on offense, but it's terrible defensively. They'll miss marion as RJefferson is not Marion and they'll miss having a real pg. Calderon > Felton or Nelson. They will be counting too much on chandler to cover up their defensive shortcomings and he's not 2011 chandle...

Re: 2014-15 regular season predictions

part of it is I think he's been underrated in his first two years. He does just about everything but shoot. I really have to disagree with both statements, and I was really high on MKG going into the draft. He's a solid defender that was billed as a great defender. He is an above average rebounder....
