Should we be worried that not a single one of our young players is a plus defender?? Bender should end up being very good on D, but... that's just not enough.

Agreed. He is an excellent steadying presence.

I like the full court outlet pass attempt from Chriss. With his background as a quarterback, you'd think that might be something he could develop into a weapon given time.

Chriss is so oblivious on D when his man doesn't have the ball. To a shocking degree.

Other things I learned from the interview. McDonough is good friends with Bill Parcells and got good advice from him. Also, he was pretty close to getting Brad Stevens to be our new head coach instead of Hornacek. Stevens decided to stay at his college but then changed his mind a couple months late...

Ultimately, the draft was a crushing disappointment for me. We went in with so much leverage, so much potential to really do some good, and it feels like we came away with nothing. I think we sunk a huge investment in two prospects that will be mediocre players at best. People write off my F grade ...
