Re: ECF: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Miami Heat (2)

Since many of their problems seem like mental or character issues, how about Larry Bird back to coaching? They'll have to respect him, focus and drop the imbecility, right? I'm a fan of Vogel and think he's a good coach. But it's the chicken or the egg kind of argument. I think the players are ment...

Re: ECF: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Miami Heat (2)

This is probably the high water mark for the pacers...at least for this iteration of the team. They're mentally weak, with no real identity. They need an upgrade just about every where and genuinely dont seem like they enjoy playing with each other. What an odd team/season.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Lottery

I like him as an athletic combo forward and he could probably transition to the 3 and be a Shawn Marion type. But he's not going to be your traditional, low post, scoring PF or your skilled, perimeter shooting SF. Love the athleticsm and feel for the game though.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

The Suns have entered this offseason thinking they're closer than what they really are. The front office is drunk off of a 37-game stretch of the Bledsoe/Dragic combo, an Archie Goodwin 29-point game, and a Cinderella season, and it's leading to them once again undervaluing and underutilizing the d...

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Lottery

If you're projecting him as a PF, he's just under 6-9 with just a 6-11 wingspan. 220 is a little light, standing reach under 9 feet. He tested really well athletically but he doesn't have the skillset to be a 3 and maynot have the measureables to bang down low.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Lottery

Gordon doesn't do much for me. His measureables weren't that impressive. Not that that's the end all be all, but still.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Lottery

As soon as I heard the Kings were looking for vets for their 8 pick, I immediately thought of Frye plus some combo of our picks. Frye is the kind of proven vet they need on that roster, lead by example, stretch 4 opposite Cousins. Would they take Frye and 14 for 8? Would we trade trade Frye and 14 t...

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

I've never been a fan of Barnes. Not that i have anything against him, i just thought he was overrated at UNC and think he's a role player. I said he was Marvin Williams coming out and people scoffed. Inconsistent, not really great at anything, more of a physical specimen that looks the part as oppo...

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

It was more about both sides needing to move on. I'm sure he didn't want to be a in rebuilding situation going into a contract year, we weren't going to extend him because he didn't fit our long term vision. Neither side could have predicted the suns would have been so successful and had he been on ...

"We anticipate Eric being a member of the Suns for a very long time. He proved to be one of the league's up and coming stars this season and we're very excited about his future."

That's all it takes Bob.

Re: Around the League: May 2014

He also had a lot of talent, much like VinnyD in LA. Time will tell if they were winning because of him or in spite of him. He definitely seemed overly sensitive about the fact that Malone was getting credit for the initial success, as he was seen as the Xs and Os guy. And I think Malone was almost ...

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

McD showed restraint not chasing the 7th seed and a 1 and done in the playoffs. He was disciplined enough not to give up assets for a rental in Gasol or Deng (or god forbid Rudy Gay) to get marginally better.

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

except for a misguided attempt to remedy never giving it to him before I think that's it. They wanted to give him one before the run is over. He really didn't do anything of note to add to the team this year. Kind of like the Oscars when they don't pick the young guy who deserves it because they fe...

Re: Around the League: May 2014

Was never a fan of Mark Jackson post playing career. I feel like once he got the itch to coach, he'd lobby and preach during his broadcasts to show how smart he was and how good a coach he'd be. One of the sports writers said it best...he's a great motivator, but that doesn't always make a great coa...
