Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I don’t think Rubio was initially an option for us. He was going to Indiana, everyone had been assuming that for awhile. Indy switched course at the last minute when Bogdonavic signed with Utah. They had more money to spend and went after Brogdon instead. Not sure if the suns were going after Rozie...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

It's so weird to think that the same front office would think that Terry Rozier and Ricky Rubio were good candidates for the same roster spot and role on the same team. I mean, regardless of whether you like Rozier or Rubio better, they are so different as players. I think they were just going thro...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Feels like the Suns lucked into a decent FA signing. If MJ hadn't saved them, and Bojan didn't sign with Utah, who would have been left? Maybe they would have pivoted to Corey Joseph or even bit the bullet to go after D'Angelo hard?

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

I wouldn't put much stock in that, as the Suns were by far the worst team in the west last year and the west is much better than the east. You can see the discrepancy in the difference between PHX and Chicago in strength of schedule.

He's inefficient though.
Yeah, that weird narrative and belief needs to be buried and burned. It hasn't been true for 2 seasons now.

Does “draft schedule” mean “subject to change”?
Yes, this isn't the final schedule.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

FGA, TOV, PF, PTS went up, FG%, 2P%, eFG%, FTA, FT%, ORB, DRB, TRB, & AST went down. I don't think Dave was wrong.

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Kinda Suns relevant. I don't subscribe to The Athletic so couldn't read the article... https://twitter.com/ChrisKirschner/status/1159616581200207874 Len saying he would have been a lot better on another team. I call ass. I could have been a music legend if I lived in another city. I said it. That d...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Did anyone watch Team USA scrimmage ? I just checked a 13min highlights vid and Mikal seemed to get decent run but he was hardly involved in any of the plays I saw I watched, and you are right. There were multiple times where the right play was to hit him in the corner wide open, but they either di...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

McDonough strikes again. He started with the same coaching staff as TJ and Devin. I guess they would be further along too? Sounds like someone who is trying to find a scapeGOAT for his shortcomings as an NBA player. Although, in his defense I thought it was a mistake to being in Chandler. It could h...

Decent breakdown. I disagree slightly with the final analysis, but it's whatever. Thinking Basketball is a very good follow.

Let's be honest; pretty much the only people who thought the Suns had a good offseason are Suns fans. Pretty much all the pundits reactions can be summed up as:

Best Case: Almost 50 wins
Worst Case: 23 wins
Median Case: 28 wins
Does this look like an odd range to anyone else?

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season

Here is another national writer that doesn't seem to think that they got better. It's kind of amazing to me, how you can't see how this team isn't drastically improved, but he seems to think that long term has been sacrificed somehow. I just keep adding names to my list, but maybe I am completely w...

A rebuilding team with a lot of cap space, like Phoenix, can make a lot of moves, but do they make sense in service to the team’s star player, Devin Booker?
I mean, did they really have a lot of cap space going into the summer?
