Re: Suns News: The Offseason

Agree. It should be more about restructure, unless we feel like the Morris Bros can take his place with their shooting and rebounding for cheaper. I'd like to see Frye kept at the right price. I just don't like him as a starter.

Re: Suns 2014: NBA Draft

Kinda sad...Baylor bigman Isaiah Austin's career is done. He's been diagnosed with Marfan's syndrome which affects joints and ligaments (among other things). I know Inf was big on him, myself not as much. Still, sad that he won't be able to continue playing.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

We also had Onuaku, who I think outplayed Oriakhi in SL last year. But another 6-8ish 270 banger type.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

I think, given the way the league is now, having Bledsoe and Dragic, gives us a big advantage on the perimeter. It's a bit unconventional but they could form an elite backcourt that makes it very difficult for teams to defend because of their PG skills and ability to score in various ways.

Re: Around the League: May 2014

IIRC he was a young up and coming coach until some allegations/violations came up about him using JUCO as kind of a farm system for his program. There may have been more than that but I remember reading about that in SI.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

He came from an organization that drafted Sullinger, Big Baby and Perkins. So he may indeed like bigger, wide body players.

Re: Around the League: May 2014

I think he's a great 3rd option and a key guy on a winning team. He's just a very talented all around basketball player. Definitely worth 8-10 if you're going to max out two other guys.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

From Chad Ford: The idea of a lottery pick in this year's draft being available in trade talks is a surprising development, but several teams appear amenable to a deal. "I thought getting a lottery pick via trade would be virtually impossible this year," one NBA GM said. "It's not. Th...

Re: WCF: San Antonio Spurs (1) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (2)

KD needs to add some strength, get in the midpost and nail that Dirk fadeaway. Can't rely on KD and Westbrook jumpers. Everyone wonders what OKC will do, what this means for their future, blah blah blah. Too often there's outside pressure and expectations to win within a certain timeframe. The worst...

Re: ECF: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Miami Heat (2)

Since many of their problems seem like mental or character issues, how about Larry Bird back to coaching? They'll have to respect him, focus and drop the imbecility, right? I'm a fan of Vogel and think he's a good coach. But it's the chicken or the egg kind of argument. I think the players are ment...

Re: ECF: Indiana Pacers (1) vs. Miami Heat (2)

This is probably the high water mark for the pacers...at least for this iteration of the team. They're mentally weak, with no real identity. They need an upgrade just about every where and genuinely dont seem like they enjoy playing with each other. What an odd team/season.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Lottery

I like him as an athletic combo forward and he could probably transition to the 3 and be a Shawn Marion type. But he's not going to be your traditional, low post, scoring PF or your skilled, perimeter shooting SF. Love the athleticsm and feel for the game though.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason

The Suns have entered this offseason thinking they're closer than what they really are. The front office is drunk off of a 37-game stretch of the Bledsoe/Dragic combo, an Archie Goodwin 29-point game, and a Cinderella season, and it's leading to them once again undervaluing and underutilizing the d...

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Lottery

If you're projecting him as a PF, he's just under 6-9 with just a 6-11 wingspan. 220 is a little light, standing reach under 9 feet. He tested really well athletically but he doesn't have the skillset to be a 3 and maynot have the measureables to bang down low.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Lottery

Gordon doesn't do much for me. His measureables weren't that impressive. Not that that's the end all be all, but still.

Re: 2014 NBA Draft Lottery

As soon as I heard the Kings were looking for vets for their 8 pick, I immediately thought of Frye plus some combo of our picks. Frye is the kind of proven vet they need on that roster, lead by example, stretch 4 opposite Cousins. Would they take Frye and 14 for 8? Would we trade trade Frye and 14 t...

Re: RC Buford: Executive Of The Year

I've never been a fan of Barnes. Not that i have anything against him, i just thought he was overrated at UNC and think he's a role player. I said he was Marvin Williams coming out and people scoffed. Inconsistent, not really great at anything, more of a physical specimen that looks the part as oppo...
