Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
Sounds like the Suns are in preliminary contract talks with Bledsoe and his agent, so this will not screw up plan A's timeline.

Re: Around the league: June 2014
Last thing that was heard was that Love would sign an extension with the Suns.
Also, I wouldn't expect too much from the Lakers pick.

So his political views count him out? Only 46% of likely voters approve of the job he's doing as of today. Not that that means anything.carey wrote:Hawes is the douchebag with the Obama toilet paper, right? No thanks.

Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
“No, no, no,” the source said. “Nothing to that. The team and Goran, they’re still committed to each other.” Not for nothing, but that sounds like some rep's statement for a celebrity couple rumored to be on the outs. still have yet to hear other teams coveting bledsoe. Word is that the teams inter...

I don't think you need to look at it like you're alienating a fan favorite.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
McDonough's job is to turn the team into a sustainable Championship team, I guess he'll do what he thinks is best to make that happen. To what end though? Do you alienate a fan favorite in the process? I'm not sure I'd like that. I guess every fan has their reasons for being a fan of a team, such a...

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Wasn't Zach Lowe the one who wrote about LeBron to Phoenix?
I am starting to think this whole Indy thing is to keep options open for McDonough just in case LeBron wants Rondo when the Suns make their pitch to him.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I thought this was funny:
McNamara247
Why is the story reported, "Pacers trying to get Dragic," as opposed to, "Suns, once amused by prank phone calls, now have changed number" ?

Re: SUNS 2014: Free Agency
Paul George is really really good, but he hasn't been able to show that he's the man yet, able to carry a team when they really need him. He's on a whole tier below LeBron and Durant on the SF hierarchy. Probably on a similar tier as Melo.

Ease back, folks - tweet is from June 27th : https://twitter.com/SportsTalkZac/status/482676378588811264 Agreed. If this was legit, we would have heard more about it by now. Now, I don't doubt that McDonough could pull a big trade out of thin air though. He got Bledsoe for a 2nd and Dudley last yea...

Love the panic of other teams, this is why they stay bad. Either that, or they figured that they had to pay someone to stay over the salary floor.Shabazz wrote:One of the worst contracts I've seen in a while. We're not talking bit money, but that's just pointless.

Or maybe he is just duping everyone so that they hold out for something that isn't going to happen while the Heat swoop in on the lower tier FAs that they should be pursuing.
