Re: Game Day (Summer League): Mavs (0-0) @ Suns (0-0), Fri 7/6/18

Ayton only had one block, but he altered a ton of shots out there. Also, him looking winded at times may have been due to the back soreness that he’s been dealing with. He seemed out of game shape which is understandable since his last game was in what, February or early March? Guys at the game wer...

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News

He cannot leave next summer. That’s what they told us about RFA Joe Johnson. No team can offer Booker more than the max. Sarver ended up offering JJ the max and JJ still begged him not to match. Even if it’s not over money, something could happen to make him want out (look at recent Suns his...

After all we’ve seen as Suns fans, I can’t believe anyone would want to risk seeing Booker leave next summer. He cannot leave next summer. Melo's the perfect stretch 4! Good one lol :) this would not be surprising since Morey always willing to gamble https://twitter.com/TheSteinLine/status/1015284256564801537 I thought he and D’Antoni didn’t get along in New York? EDIT: Yep: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/carmelo-...

Re: RE: Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News

Don't get me wrong, give Booker the max, but why is he getting an extension now? Isn't the team just throwing away half of the cap space next year? It's not like he will turn down the max contract next summer, and he's getting the same money anyway. As competitive as Booker appears to be, it seems ...

I love how McDonough was trying to end the Ariza press conference and some media member made him talk about the Booker situation.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason

Since the Lakers have cap space, I feel like they’ll just wait until next summer to sign Leonard, and if he no longer wants to come to LA (like George), then they’ll just sign another max star instead. Plus they get to keep their young players. That would make total sense if LeBron was a few years y...

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason

Cousins only makes sense in GS. If a team like the Suns were to sign him, they'd only have him for 1 year. Because we'd still need cap room next year to be able to retain him. Zach Lowe explains this on his podcast really well. He needed a team that had a open roster spot for a center that would be...

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News

I look at it more long-term than that. Since 1990, Tony Parker (twice) and Steph Curry (three times) are the only two point guards to win a championship in the same year they made an all-star team. The other 23 years it didn’t happen. If we can develop a “Shaq and Kobe 2.0” type of team, I don’t th...

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News

I think we’re too used to having a star point guard as Suns fans. Most championship teams don’t have all-star point guards, whether it’s the Bulls/Rockets in the ‘90s, Lakers in the 2000s, or Heat in the 2010s. Yes, but... the way the game is played and officiated nowadays has changed the worth of ...
