Re: Game Day: Lakers (0-1) @ Suns (0-1), Fri 10/20/17
Josh Jackson is going to be a stud. He might be our best all around player already. He handles the ball so much better than I expected. Plus he's a good physical defender. If his shot and his handles keep improving, he might be our best PG, SF, and PF next season. He's a breath of fresh air on this...

Lonzo Ball just hit a 3 going right. Remember before the draft when the scouting report was that he would never be able to shoot off the dribble going right? Well, he can now. Now with a turnaround jumper from mid range - another thing he wasn't supposed to be able to do. Ball is a future HOF playe...

Mike James is the first guard off the bench, and he immediately finds Jackson for a 3.
Chriss in for Warren, and is getting his hands on some shots.

I like what I'm seeing from Booker and Jackson tonight. Warren still cant finish and isn't jumping really well.

Alright, I'm starting to get excited for the game tonight. Lakers are my mom's team, so the rivalry is doubly strong in my family. Suns and Lakers are tied for the 8th spot in the west. We had ummm... balanced contributions from the whole team in the last game, and if we can build on the positives a...

Agreed on Bender. His shot is terrible, but I would reward his defense with playing time. By the end of the season, I want to know if Bender can grow into a good player on both sides of the court.

With how we played in the opener, I would definitely say that the DNP guys did less to hurt the Suns than anyone else.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:Unpopular opinion incoming: Is Alex Len our second best player? Not in terms of future potential or whatever, but right now, today, on the court. Dis * cuss.

Even Watson isn't going to start Chriss after 2pts, 1rebound, 2 TO, and 5 fouls in 12 minutes.

Re: Watson Watch 2017 <dramatic into music>
I wouldn't be opposed to Becky Hammon; she's clearly in favor in San Antonio and has done a great job coaching Summer League. On the more traditional front, I've always liked Jeff Van Gundy. Also, I read somewhere that Mike Malone might be on the hot seat in Denver if they don't perform well. I thi...

Bender needs to be a factor on offense tho. A few nice defensive plays, blocks and rebounds won't justify him being a core piece playing 30mpg. He's gotta do more all around. I think everyone agrees with that. A good thing here and a good thing there has to turn into a good game. To be honest, my e...

I think Bender is a decent defender for his age and experience. They eluded to that several times last night and he had several defensive stops. He just lacks consistency. When the rest of your team plays D like a saloon door it's going to take away from guys who defend well. Even if the Suns would...

I don't disagree, but who do you hire for either one? We only hire brand new people with nearly no experience (because they are cheap). Would that give you better results? We are going to be wasting any talent we have on this roster by letting these guys learn how to lose over and over and over aga...
