Re: Suns sign Frank Kaminsky
We really need some defense and athleticism. I already listed my preferences for the vacant big man spot. Frank's a good player, but who's helping Ayton down low? Ayton needs to help himself down low. He’s our f*** franchise center. We needed a stretch 4 on the outside. If we need a bruiser for Ayt...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
I do wonder if we could have made the warren trade, made the 6 for 11 and Saric trade, drafted Clarke and not done the Mil pick for 24 and Baynes trade. Then enter free agency with 20 million in space and the Mil pick. Then we could have been the team to snag Brogdon on a 4/85 S&T with the Mil ...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
Bookmark this: https://earlybirdrights.com/salary-cap/phx/2019-20/ We can revisit when Oubre signs tonight. The next step is easier to take when you leave yourself flexibility. If we want to remain flexible it might mean not signing Oubre, which clearly makes us worse in the short term. I worry we'...

Re: Suns sign Rubio
I agree with ShelC, at least for 3pt shooting. The reasons they sucked were probably deeper than just lack of talent. Warren had 0.7 offensive rebounds per year last year, hardly terrific :) Not that I like how he was dumped. And I agree, Ayton better be ready. He was the #1 pick based on his physic...

Re: Suns sign Rubio
Indy also gave up a first rounder and 2 seconds to get Brogdon. Too rich for my blood. Doesn't matter . They got their guy and looking around at the deals some other players got, it's actually a good proposition at $21.5M per. I would have loved it if Jones was able to pull it off. Not saying it's ...

Re: Suns sign Rubio
I would give the Rubio signing a B. The money is a bit high, but the player makes sense. It's easier to wait out the first wave of FAs and get whoever is left on bargain deals when don't have specific needs. This team hopefully has some core pieces in place (Booker, Ayton, Bridges) and needs players...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
Russell already took a bunch of nobodies to 42 wins and the playoffs. Imagine what he could do with Ayton and Booker. That is a false narrative. Kenny Atkinson is doing a tremendous coaching job and has built a great culture there, and the Nets have gotten good play from like 10 guys. LaVert, Dinwi...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
I would give up #6 for Rubio. Heck, I wouldn’t be mad if Sarver wanted to just sell #6 (a la 2004-2006), in order to have more cap space. Chances are we aren’t going to get a good player at #6 in this draft, and we don’t need any more rookies. The mistakes of the past have beaten the fanbase sensel...

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs
I don't believe the Warriors urged him to play, or pressured the doctors to clear him. If they (including Durant) thought the risk was too high, he wouldn't have played. I don't think him being a FA matters at all, that would be a huge black mark for the franchise. And I would guess career threateni...

What is so good about McConnnell? As far as I can tell he can neither shoot nor defend.

Re: 2019 NBA Playoffs
Except it’s not a travel. You get two steps, no one ever said it couldn’t be backwards. Harden is using the rules to his advantage. Your issue should be with the league, not Harden Huh? No dude. You’re confused. You can’t two step then set your feet. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TvGayLBB2Sk The ve...

I'd rather see the Raptors win, but if the Warriors do it I hope they do it without Durant.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
I am sure they want to re-sign him, but... They have 95M on the books for next year for only 9 guys (assuming Middleton opts out). Here are their big FAs. Lopez has been HUGE for them in the playoffs. I assume they see him as a big part of their team, and will try and re-sign him. With his complete...

Re: Suns hire Monty Williams to be the 20th Head Coach in franchise history
Now this revelation regarding Jerry Colangelo has me more optimistic than I've been in a very long time. If we're hearing things correctly, Sarver has loosened the reigns a bit and understands the value someone like Colangelo can bring to the organization in an unofficial capacity. Hopefully, that ...

Re: Game of Thrones Season 8
All I have to say is that it kinda sucks that I'm glad the show has finally ended only because I can no longer be disappointed by lazy plot lines. I also started reading the first book last week. I think I'd have a really hard time reading the books because it takes me so long. If I carve out...
