Re: Suns News: Week 18 2/23-3/1
The problem is with all of this is that it's just Brandon Knight. It's just Brandon Knight. He's not a special talent, hasn't proven great at anything, has never been efficient, and isn't a great fit at either guard position. He's a good player. But good players aren't that hard to come by. I liked...

Re: Suns News: Week 18 2/23-3/1
We may have been able to get knight in the summer, but we'd probably have to overpay and surrender an asset or two as well. Bucks weren't gonna lose him for nothing and ultimately if we called their bluff I think they would have matched the offer.

I think they had to pay that money anyways, they were beneath the salary floor. So they payed McGee instead of their current players splitting the money.

Re: Suns News: Week 18 2/23-3/1
If you look at the Warriors and Blazers, they both had to draft multiple stars using top-ten 1st round picks in successive years. Warriors drafted Curry, Klay, Barnes, etc. and Blazers drafted Lillard and Aldridge (well, draft-day trade, but same thing). This is why that Lakers pick is going to hau...

Re: College Basketball: 2014-15
I think he'd be pretty solidly in the 1st. He's a great athlete and great defender. He's got a little kawhi potential, although his shot needs more work than kawhi's did. He's got some ability to create and handles the ball decently. I think he's a mid first to late first kinda guy. I really like hi...

I think it depends on the money. Most likely some team is gonna give him 8 million a year, I'd pass if it came to that.

DRPM is supposed to account for that. It's essentially saying GS defense improves by roughly 5 pts/100 possessions with Green on the court. If anything, the fact that David Lee usually replaces him is probably the biggest factor if his numbers are inflated. I haven't seen enough games to say how goo...

Butler is plenty big enough to play the 3.

Re: Suns 2015 Trade Deadline Aftermath
Fail. Agreed. At the very least they still had until early summer to cash in the pick for a better return. But if MCD was really thinking like this, why not atach it to Bledsoe to get Love, or with Tucker/Thomas to get Greg Monroe, or some like this. I mean, if you think your premier asset is close...

Re: Around the League: Week 17 2/16-2/22
I get so tired of labels sometimes - there are a lot of instances of players who play positions that doesn't fit the stereotypical mold and do it quite well. No, Russell Westbrook doesn't remind anyone of John Stockton, but he's a great basketball player. One of the 10 best players in the league. T...

Re: 2015 NBA Draft
I think this draft looks like a fairly typical draft. Not too strong, not weak either. I'm not an expert though. Okafor is going to be good, I think he's at least Al Jefferson, probably better. I really like D'Angelo Russell and Kristaps Porzingis. They'd be in my top 3 if I was picking up there. I ...

Why didn't utah just take Reggie Jackson? I guess he probably gets in the way of exum' development. He's better than a late first though.

Re: Suns 2015 Trade Deadline Aftermath
My thoughts on everything that happened. I'm intrigued and in wait and see mode. I like knight and he's a better fit as a sg than dragic. Dragic is a better pg but with bled on the team he just wasn't ever gonna play pg full time here. I'm not too concerned about losing plumlee or Ennis. Ennis migh...

Re: Favorite Current Sun
I don't think he necessarily has a low IQ, it's not great by any means, but it appears low because of his slightly irrational confidence in himself. Which I'm ok with when it means he takes a few bad shots because his confidence is very valuable to his game. It's a little frustrating when he thinks ...

Re: Around the League: Week 14 1/26-2/1
Also shows how ridiculously deep the western point guard class is Which also shows the foolishness in pouring the majority of your resources into a position that is overabundant. That's a good point. Even a quick scan of teams to see who might be in the market for a pg via trade leaves you very und...
