Re: 2024 Playoffs: Suns-Timberwolves Round 1 News Thread
The Suns have a first round pick in 2024, 2026, 2028 and 2030. All of their own second round picks have been dealt through 2030, but I don't think it's significant because second round picks are widely available for cash purchase. Edit: I just remembered they have two incoming protected second round...

I think we have 12 ready for next season, but I wouldn't mind going to 14 teams.
Suns fandom doesn't concern me. However, I like having all managers present on this board because it seems to keep people more accountable. Everyone I've invited from outside has ghosted fairly quickly.

Wolves were +105 when I posted that.Cap wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 6:35 amJust checked DraftKings; they have us at -115 and Minny at -105. FanDuel is similar: PHX -120, MIN -102.

Jokic is definitely my choice for MVP.
I just think SGA is clearly a top 3 candidate and I don't have much of an issue with anyone who votes for him this year.

Smells like haterade to me. Reminds me of early in the season when I said SGA was a better PG than Booker and a few people here were quick to dismiss that take.
I don't really get it. He's fucking great and absolutely a top 3 MVP candidate at worst.

Re: Around the NBA: Week 25 (4/8 - 4/14)
SGA MVP? Chet is that teams MVP, without him they don't work. Jokic and Luka are 1a 1b to me. Couldn't argue with either of them. It's acceptable to not support SGA as league MVP, but to say Chet is the MVP of that team is ridiculous. He unlocked everything they do. Sure he's not the literal MVP bu...

He might be completely fine as a backup Center, I just don't think it's going to happen quickly because there's a lot to his game that will need to change. For instance, not being allowed to camp in the paint on defense. He'll have to move his feet a lot more on that end and not just when it comes t...

So we're going to ignore the Suns having the first and second best player in the series?
I guess Edwards vs. Booker is 50/50 now.
The Suns are clear favorites to win the series by the bookmakers so far.

I'm sure we'll hear plenty about it for the next week, but this is a huge series for Anthony Edwards.
In a bizarre way, it seems the Wolves are under more pressure than the Suns to win the series.

He loves to make shit up that he knows will "get aggregated" while also mocking people who aggregate his dumbest takes or pointless rankings/pyramids.
I only listen because he still books some of the best guests.

I have to go with C as well. They were the epitome of the student who was bright enough to earn an A but only put in enough effort to pass the class. Far too many instances of brain dead or lazy basketball from a group with way too much collective experience and talent to let that stuff continuously...

Beal being the main aggressor letting KD and Book float is crazy to watch, where was this all year? We were saving it for the playoffs haha Maybe I was wrong about that switch. We had 80 games of bitching and moaning about this team being a let down from pre-season expectations only to end up with ...

Someone tell Doris Burke the Suns went 7-3 with the hardest remaining schedule in the history of basketball to end the season.

I remember when a lot of us were frustrated at chasing regular season wins only to be worn down for the playoffs.
