Cool thread here about some rookie numbers

Cleveland traded themselves out of contention for the title. Thomas is a nice player but he doesn't get them anywhere, and their team defense is awful this year. Fail.Hermen wrote:So who got the best return for a star this offseason: Cleveland, Chicago or Indiana?
Chicago got some nice pieces that have been overachieving somewhat so far this year, but overall I feel like they basically got a puu-puu platter for Butler, who is playing like an MVP candidate this year. Net loss for CHI.
Indiana made out like bandits. Savaged at the time of the trade (including by me, I suspect), they now have a likely All-Star in Oladipo who's resurrecting his career. And Sabonis looks like a nice young piece as well. Great trade in the end for them.

Lakers got Kuzma and dumped a huge contract for Russell. That's pretty good.

My dude Frank looks pretty good out there.ShelC wrote:Cool thread here about some rookie numbers
But, more importantly, Dudley and Monroe benefit so much from the presence of JOSH JACKSON.
Edit:
And now I have a dozen stat threads to read. Cool stuff, SchelC.
Our best 2-man pairing is Booker/Chriss. Our worst is Ulis/Chandler. Good thing we are starting Ulis / Chandler.

We're going to build a contender around that Jackson/Dudley/Monroe trio.O_Gardino wrote:My dude Frank looks pretty good out there.ShelC wrote:Cool thread here about some rookie numbers

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2215 ... ba-historyLOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Lakers, with three starters out because of injuries Friday, had the worst free throw shooting percentage in a game in NBA history -- and still won.
With Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope out, the Lakers shot an abysmal 2-for-14 from the foul line in a 99-86 win over the Indiana Pacers at Staples Center.

I don't understand how that team without a couple of their best players beat this Indiana team that destroyed us. I guess it's like the old adage, "On any given night..."carey wrote:http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2215 ... ba-historyLOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Lakers, with three starters out because of injuries Friday, had the worst free throw shooting percentage in a game in NBA history -- and still won.

Collison and Stephenson convinced to go like 2/21 from the field

Is there a difference between trying to convince you and forcing it on you? Genuine question. Interested in your opinion.specialsauce wrote:I wouldn’t go. That would depend (not that I'm the one you asked) on the subject of his preaching. I would hope he didn't invite his teammates to hear him preach about how believers are morally superior to nonbelievers (and if he did, it's probably a good thing none of them showed up).JCSunsfan wrote:Is there a difference between trying to convince you and forcing it on you? For me, no. I just wouldn’t feel comfortable going. Religion and work don’t mix. It puts your coworkers in an uncomfortable position especially! if they don’t share the same views/beliefs.JCSunsfan wrote:Is there a difference between trying to convince you and forcing it on you? Could Kawhi become available? Either through trade or as a free agent in 2019. He'd be the dream come true next to Booker.
