I'll keep this short and sweet:

Bringing in Isaiah Thomas: brilliant.

Retaining Eric Bledsoe: SILLY.

Agreed - I'm in if carey is.

And, though I think your take on Bledsoe is bad, you still waited too damn long, INF. ;)

if you can read between the lines... if bledsoe can read between the lines... that seems to be the plan.

I know there are a lot of people saying how the Suns have four point guards that will be vying for playing time, but Bledsoe is as much a shooting guard as he is a point guard. And as many people have noted - Ennis will spend some time in the D-League, if not a lot of time there.

My only concern right now is that they seem a little more talent-laden in the backcourt, and they could use a PF/C type to ply upfront with Plumley, Len and Markieff. Preferably someone who can give you 10-15 every game without a huge drop off in play.

if only the suns can "loan" Ennis to the knicks for 1 yr.

I'm not so sure Bledsoe is here for the long term. I guess we'll see soon enough.

INFy! Welcome. Yeah, I think I like the IT signing. I worry about the price of the backcourt if we retain Bledsoe, though. I wonder if a deal is in the works.

I don't know about that. He just likes to have the ball in his hands, and many times he goes one on one, but in my opinion he is not 50% SG in PG body type.

A lot of people are worried about the log jam at PG.

Id rather spend the money on three really, really good point guards (which all three are) rather than blow the cap space on average/bad players.

Everyone always says "draft the best player available" but they dont really mean it.

Suns might have made the best off-season acquisition (besides Cleveland of course).

The logjam IS an issue, though. But I agree with the principle.

I remember when I wondered what would the site say if we took Ennis #14 as best player available. It could be what actually happened but at 18.

Or maybe McD wanted to take advantage of the Raptors. Ennis was the wort kept secret of the draft. They even arranged a trade with the Grizzlies to secure the two specific guys they wanted, this PG and the 'brazilian KD' (supposedly SAS and PHX were interested too), but McD took him too soon. I've read that they wanted Terrence Ross back but were rejected.

Who knows. The thing is that there are too many players to use at the 1-2 spots. Honestly I am ok letting the chips fall where they may. And there is still a lot of time for moves, while having some business of our own without solving, by the way.

I agree. If Thomas plays/is used the way he should, this cotract (decreasing, no less) is a steal. But also a move that poses questions where you already had answers. But yes, if nothing goes horribly wrong at the very least you have an asset.

Maybe we're looking at this the wrong way. Maybe it's not Bledsoe who's about to be on his way out. Maybe it's Ennis, in a trade with Toronto as Ring_ reminds us. Or (gulp) maybe it's Dragic, though it BETTER NOT BE.

There's definitely something up with Toronto. Even the Vasquez deal seems like it's set up to move him down the road.

Toronto just reupped Lowry and Vasquez. Don't see it.
Go Suns!
