What the heck? When I take this "test" on the Suns site and get Ayton, there is just a picture with no corresponding text. When I do it again and get Doncic, I see three huge paragraphs about him. Maybe we're not talking Ayton after all.

I won't be, I knew Ayton was the pick since Gambo said he was on the night of the lottery itself.

OK, good. It will be interesting to see if Doncic becomes a stud and if we regret taking Ayton.

I’m afraid of passing on Doncic and him turning out to be Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Steve Nash rolled into one (but more athletic than any of them).

Still, it’s not like Ayton is chopped liver. He’s the obvious pick, and the safe pick. But Doncic’s ceiling is GOAT.

Rachel Nichols and The Jump crew talk about the draft. Lot's of Suns talk. Mostly laughing at McDonough's past lottery picks.

I hope both becomes studs and both the Kings and the Suns can become good teams while the Warriors and Lakers enjoy the bottom cellar for some time in the Pacific division.

She must be a fortune teller if she could tell Giannis (late teens pick) and Rudy Gobert (late 20s pick) were the right calls to make at the time of the 2013 draft.

The Suns should have her run their 2018 draft if that's the case.

I like it! I hope you're right! If they stack the Lakers with LeBron and Kawhi, I'm going to be sick.

Yeah, it really is sickening. She acts like those guys were all the obvious picks even though most of the rest of the league missed on them too.

Most Suns fans let Amare slide with some of his eyeroll enducing comments because he was an All-NBA level player. Even then, a lot of us still became frustrated with his deficiencies in rebounding and defense.

With Ayton, we don't really know how well he's going to develop in the NBA, yet he's already said some things that make people nervous about his mental makeup as a professional. If he comes in and kicks ass like Amare, no one will care when he makes these kinds of comments. But if he ends up being the 3rd or 4th best big man in this draft, we're going to look back at these things as red flags.
I'm not comfortable with Ayton's interviews, but as I've said before, it's the same with Amare and Shaq and quite a few others. If he has the game, it won't matter how awkward he is behind the mike.

Just throwing this out there—it feels like my Bill Simmons question of the da: considering the skill set/personality, What are the odds we think of Ayton as Dwight Howard 2.0 five years from now? 30%? 40%?

10%. That's a stupid comparison. Howard is widely disliked by his teammates and coaches. He doesn't listen and does his own thing.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Well, considering Ayton has a jump shot and is a decent FT shooter, I would say 5%

I seriously doubt this would ever happen. And, I get the feeling that McD is afraid to trade assets or make significant moves unless they are getting back an athletic blinders on shoot first and second pg.
