Right now we've got two special offensive players that need a lot of work defensively.
About that: everyone got all nervous when Booker declared he isn't missing the playoffs again, which served to be the catalyst for "WIN NOW!" movement, but honestly, the response to that declaration should have been, "Great, Devin, you're planning on figuring out how to actually stop your man on the defensive end?"
A good organization would have sat him down and showed him the plan and told him to have patience with the process.

I'm afraid for Igor's job at this point.
JJJ and Sarver didn't look too happy.
That's what you get for accelerating the timeline after 1 year.
Has the timeline been accelerated? Really? Doesn’t look like it to me. Looks like we’re headed for another top 3 pick.
I should have quoted accelerating. In Sarver's eyes he wanted to "accelerate" the timeline and win-now after promising that he was going to have patience. Dude can't make up his mind.

More like he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about, which is a good enough reason for him to let people do their jobs or sell the team.

That may be something you lament, but honestly, that is really the only hope the franchise has.

Truth. We'll eventually land THAT guy that turns us around.

Or we'll swap this years pick for said turnaround guy.

Selling the team isn't going to happen so the best we could hope for is that he stop meddling and we know that's not going to happen. So, our only other option is to find a different sport/team to cheer for.

The wife called me a fairweather fan because I don't watch them much anymore, I just can't deal with getting abused by 30 points. That's not a good product on the court and I refuse to waste my time watching this crap, especially now that I have a family.

I think Igor is making things too complex/complicated for them.
I think he has said that as well and is reducing his number of sets.

Damn. I lost my job today and then came home and watched this. What a day. What a beating.
Sorry, man. That really sucks! I hope you find another better one quickly.

Tonight makes 6. Don't get too far ahead.
Oh I already counted the Toronto game. It wasn't a typo or mistake.
Man this is all on the owner and GM. This is a personnel issue not coaching IMO. You have too many players that aren’t smart and can’t shoot.
Plus a bunch of rookies.

Sarver would be an idiot to fire Igor, therefore, I fully expect that will happen.
Coach needs at least a year plus a better cast of supporting characters.

this team has no leadership. i suggested trading josh jackson and chandler for dragic, but cap says no.
In the offseason I would have said you’re crazy, but I actually think Miami might say no to that offer the way Jackson has played this season
Jackson is G League trash at this point. He does nothing well.
He is digressing before our eyes.

I officially hate Dragan Bender after he smacked a rebound back to the Spurs rather than just grabbing it with a minute left. I don't care if it's garbage time. Play the game the right way!

I'm loyal to the Suns all the way to the grave. You just gotta find other sporting interests. I had a good time watching my Portland Timbers win a playoff knockout game today instead of the Suns game, which I didn't watch a single second of.

Sports are for entertainment and entertainment is supposed to be fun. Suns getting their ass kicked in 6 of the first 7 games this season is not fun.

It is perfectly okay to miss watching games this season and it would not make you a fairweather fan because of it.

I doubt if the Suns like losing either. I’ll keep watching. Waiting for them to get good before watching them seems like the very definition of fair weather fan.

fair-weather fan. A person who is supportive of and enthusiastic about a sports team only when that team is performing well.

It’s about time Sarver rolls his sleeves up and starts coaching. He could be the league’s first owner-coach. I’m confident he can whip this garbage roster into shape.

Ok, let's see. You blame Sarver, the players, the rookies, the veterans, the superstar who doesn't play defense. But Igor is fine? How is that working?
Look I really like Igor, and I think he has a great basketball mind. But as a fan to have hope for the future, he must show us anything. I haven't seen anything that makes sense for him to stay. Clearly, something between Igor and the players isn't clicking. They don't respond to Igor in any way. Maybe the schemes, the X and O's are complicated for them I don't know. Something has to change. And it's obvious that you can not change the roster. No one wants our players. So the obvious choice for change would be Igor. We know Sarver can't fire himself out of Phoenix. We need a presence on the bench and Igor clearly is not one. I don't want to see another effortless blowout.
Again Igor is a great coach, great personality has a tremendous history. But If it is not working, it is not working simply as that.

You can't fire your first year, first time head coach 6 games in or whatever it is. It's very concerning this team lacks any urgency or toughness overall. That may be on the roster, but teams tend to take on the personality of their coach. I don't think the guys have tuned him out tho.

The offense looked a little better in the 1st quarter with the starters. More PnRs and dribble handoffs, Okobo has a burst and speed we need in the backcourt but obviously still needs work. I'd really like to see him, Booker, Ariza on the perimeter. TJ wasn't bad at PF but he's not the answer there. And even Ariza is trying to do too much with the ball. He's not a dribble penetration guy but keeps putting the ball on the floor and getting stuck with it; reminds me of PJ Tucker. Just catch and shoot or pass it out, Trevor. JJ just isn't a shooting guard so we knew that experiment would fail. He had a great pass to TJ on the break, got to the rim but missed his layups and wasn't good on defense. He needs work for sure but I'm not ready to give up on him.
