The Super Long Posts are BACK! This should cover just about everything from media day as far as quotes go. Seems all the guys are vaxxed, CP was a little coy about it but is prob vaxxed and Book is home with the 'rona already. I like what Jae and Monty said about adjusting things based on the Finals run and making sure they're staying fresh.

Monty

Mikal

Elf

DA

Cam

Jae

Frank

CP

Dario

Shamet

Cam

Javale

Stix

I'm trying my hardest not to be bothered by Ayton's statements. At the end of the day, he just wants to be liked by everyone.

I thought we got pass this
It seems like he's always gone back and forth on whether he wants to be a center or a power forward.
whichever one gets him to that 2nd contract.
Oh, boy. Here we go again. :P

As long as he listens to his coaches and players, I don't care what he says anymore.

Awesome stuff Shel
Was hard for me to keep up with my timeline today but you got everything covered.

The most intriguing one for me is actually Jae
I think it was obvious to all of us when he went into a funk so for him to mention that it was initially mental burnout from the Heat Finals and eventually physically struggling through parts of the season is interesting

Him acknowledging that he has to change a couple things to avoid that happening again will be important for the whole team as most the guys probably were gonna lean on him asking how he dealt with the Heat loss and quick turnaround

Either way, glad to have legit stuff to read and just not rumours 8-)
My Avatar Bros comments are obviously not lost on me but I will get around to those two soon enough lol :D

Thank you shel! For whatever reason any time I like a post I get kicked out of my login and have to re-enter my credentials so I haven’t been doing that.

I think Ayton is being goofy. I wouldn’t get too upset over that quote. And the regular season is a time to experiment anyway so let’s not worry ourselves over this.

I’m concerned with how little there is from Stix.

Wouldn't there being so little from Stix be a mark of his situation and role last yr?

Yeah, exactly. I wouldn't want to hear much from him until he starts to show us something. Talk is cheap.

Adding McGee is going to be a big plus. A real BU Center was our weakest chink in the armor last year imo. Ayton talking about playing alongside McGee in games. I’m sure we will see it a few times.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

Ayton is very young and unaware when it comes to what he says to the media. He’s pretty transparent and dare I say naive in regards to what he needs to work on . But it likely doesn’t matter. I am more than sure, coaching staff and our vets are on him about needing to finish through contact and get to the line at least two-fold this year. He should be getting 6 ppg from the line.

I didn't see anything wrong with what DA said. He clowns around which we know. I don't think we'll see him at PF unless it's some extraordinary circumstance with injuries or fouls.

I do think his past and current statements about sacrificing his game are a bit of PR leverage regarding his contract. I get kind of a "I'd be putting up max contract stats and getting more attention if I had the opportunity" vibe whenever he talks about his role on the team. Makes me a little nervous, in general.

Also, not going to post all of the videos but here's a link to all of the player interviews from Media Day.

I guess no more need for Flagstaff. They’ve got everything right there now at the new practice facility.

Hey guys.

What TV viewing options do we have this year? League pass blacks out local games, correct?

If you are OK watching only on your computer, sure. I guess you could connect your computer to your TV, too. But league pass is not the best when trying to watch a game that is currently in progress and you want to start at the beginning and catch up to live. It is a bit buggy. Probably still a lot better than paying for directv, though.
