What about leaving Paul in and essentially playing 4 on 5?
Well he did that over the course of multiple playoff games and won the series.
You're really defending that? What about going down 2-1 in the series when Paul was at his worst with the injury?

Not defending it at all. Just recalling a similar situation that had higher stakes and a positive outcome.
Trendon Watford. Please and thank you.

I always feel like I'm being gaslighted over here, but then I go to Twitter and see that most fans agree with me and I feel relieved that I'm not going crazy.

I think it's completely fine for our coach to talk tough to our players if they make a mistake and need to hear it. I certainly don't want a coach too cowardly to hold his players accountable. And honestly I don't think that clip even looks that heated. Players and coaches get emotional. That clip is a big nothing burger to me. All part of the game.

There's no need to rush so eagerly to find some single person to blame for one disappointing regular season loss. Several of our crew could have done better. Learn from it and move forward.

Terrible call at a terrible moment in the game. Between that and the Paul corner 3, the baseline official was seeing something different from everyone else.

Both Monty and Ayton have owned up to it. Some anger in the heat of the moment. Happens all the time. It’s a nothing burger. Moving on.

39 1/2 minutes for Bridges tonight.

32 minutes for Ayton.

It's completely unexplainable.
Yeah, it is explainable. Okogie is out. CamJ is out. We have Ish backing up Craig and Bridges. Ayton has a good backup that played well tonight. So yeah, it is explainable that Bridges played more minutes.
Ayton doesn’t have the stamina to play 40 minutes a night, either. Suns were also +12 in Bizzy’s minutes and -16 in DA’s. And while single game +/- doesn’t always tell the story, the Wiz had a much tougher time attacking the basket with Biz in the lineup.

But….Monty.

Giannis and Zion make the same move 10 times a game, but it’s a foul when Ayton does it. So tired of the officiating in the NBA.

Lol, I’m not saying most want Monty fired (I’m not even calling for him to be fired before the end of the season), but literally 90% of Twitter was defending Ayton and attacking Monty.

I think the argument is valid that Monty needs to get a bit more heated with the refs. I feel like he's way to mild to them compared to other coaches. Not saying go Doc Rivers on them but there's a strategy to working them and we are at bottom of the list for fouls/freethrows.

The Ayton/Monty thing is getting way overblown though. Really nothing to see there.

Bingo. But when the two of them do it, it’s WOWWW look at the strength of ____ just barreling through the defender and finishing!!!

That’s why these players are so overrated. They play by a different set of rules. Giannis and Z wouldn’t be so impressive sitting on the bench in foul trouble. And they wouldn’t look so unique if others got to play by the same rules.

The league decided these are the marketable players so they will be allowed to play by a different set of rules.

The Harlem Globetrotters were just too far ahead of the times when it comes to basketball.
