I can't wait until he retires so we can end this decade long obsession with him. If he signs, great. But people act like he's been this missing piece for us the past 3 years.
I don't know. He sure would have helped us this year in the playoffs. Now that we have Beal? Sure, not as important.

Gambo was tweeting about Yute and Keita Bates-Diop as targets...get them and Schroeder, we'te set....
Schroder would be the icing on the cake for me.
He's got a little dab in his hair too.

???????
Make it stop.
You know what? I'm just excited that Ishbia seems to be the kind of guy that is just going to go for it balls out! What a fresh breath of new ownership. So relieved thus far. We are in a new era of Suns basketball. I am excited.

I'm still trying to figure out who is going to play defense.
The other team.
They had better!

We have a owner who is cheap and doesnt make any big moves and everyone complains.
Except neither one of those were true.

I guess you could have 2 of Kyrie/Booker/Beal/KD on the floor at all times. Not sure how you'd stop that, but relying on minimum deals to do everything else seems kinda sus.
We're already going to be using minimum deals to do everything else.

We have a owner who is cheap and doesnt make any big moves and everyone complains. Now we get an owner who literally will do whatever money be damned and we are worried about that too now?
Right?

He was definitely cheap. Joe Johnson anyone? But sure, he made a couple big moves in his tenure but for the most part, he was pretty measured.

Sarver did open up a little last couple years, but I could say pretty confidently that if we had Sarver a KD and Beal deal would not have gotten don. He wouldnt have paid the luxury tax and not sure he even had the pockets to do it if he wanted to.

He gave James Jones the greenlight to go into the L-Tax, but I agree about the Beal move; Sarver would have never spent as much as what Ishbia is willing to spend now.

I think this is the problem. The Joe Johnson fiasco Sarver is much different than the Sarver that was forced to sell the team.

It's kinda like when you get that new car and wanna throw rims, a chip and exhaust.... I feel like that's what Ishbia's doing

Trading Kurt Thomas in a salary dump a terrible move too.

I don’t want Kyrie…but the way to do it if you are going to is Ayton to Houston for KMJ and future draft capital.

Then sign Kyrie to the MLE(12.4 million) 1+1 deal. He’d opt out of year 2 and take a 20% raise(15 million) 1+1 deal. Then opt out again and take a 20% raise(18 million) 1+1 deal. We’d then have his full bird rights. Of course he could always pack up and leave at any point.

This lets you also use the BAE(though you might have to waive and stretch Payne) to add a 5. Maybe Plumlee?

Kyrie/Beal/Booker/KD/Plumlee

Then add vet min deals. Gordon, Yuta, Love, KBD, whoever to fill out the bench with also Goodwin and KMJ.

I don’t think it makes a lot of sense, but it’s better than signing and trading Ayton for him.

Send Ayton to LA for Terance Mann, Covington and Zubac, and let him be the second Star every night (given how unusual Khawi and George are both healthy) match Jock, get healthy Saric back for the minimum as well as either Craig or Okogie (or both) and call it a day

Booker / Beal / Covington / Durant/ Zubac
Payne / Mann / Okogie / Saric / Landale
Goodwin / Craig / Byombo

No true PG, since it would make the starting lineup too short, and either Booker or Durant our designated defender for the best wing opponent. Better to have a strong 3 & D wing in there with a Convington/Okogie /Craig mini-rotation within he rotation. Convinced that Mann eventually will replace Payne as our first guard from the bench as he was very effective bringing the ball up for the Clippers.

Never, NEVER roll with the entire second unit in the floor, keep at any time two or at least one (dead time) of our elite creators on the court.

Swapping Payne for Schroeder would be gravy.

And we are set to go.
