I am enjoying all these interviews. But I think we are going to have several guys on this roster who don't get significant playing time who will be less than thrilled about it by midseason. Being too deep is a good problem to have, especially after last year, but I do worry that our 14th man will think he should be our 6th man.

Everyone wants to play and contribute. There are only so many positions available. Some of them will be riding the pine for extended games. Someone always gets hurt and their number will be called and they better be ready. All these guys seem very professional to me. I think the team has been constructed well and I don’t anticipate much dissension, especially if they are winning.

The Suns have started posting the Leander/Chambers interviews that took place after the official media sessions. Here's what James Jones had to say about Nurk, the roster, free agency

Hopefully, that’s one of the reasons behind the team giving them all that 2nd year player’s options. It takes a lot of pressure out of staying on the league after riding the pine so many games, and gave them the choice to enjoy the ride this year and worry about a contract year until the next one. If talked in advance, they all know what they signed for.

Age has to be the most surprising factor regarding most of the players we signed in free agency. Most of them are in their mid to late 20’s and players usually don’t run to join a contender until the end of their careers. I suppose the opportunity to showcase their skills on a winning team while competing for a title will be appealing to some, but it was still just a bit astonishing to acquire a lot of the players as quickly as we did.

Feel like if you can play a solid role on a team that makes a final run, you'll have a lot of money out there, Bruce Brown being the prime example.
