Its fun to root for Bol Bol but man is he bad. Also, I really don't think center is the best fit. Way to frail. He's probably best as a spot up shooter until he gets some understanding of the game. He doesn't lack confidence. He literally jumps at everything and is out of position on D atleast once every possession. Another issues is he thinks he has handles but loses the ball almost every time he makes a move to the rim. Quite an enigma because he's got some natural ability.
Should’ve stopped after the first point. He fucking sucks and I don’t even want to see him on the Suns in preseason. One of the lowest IQ NBA players I’ve ever seen.
I'm not sure what the point of signing him was. One year deal with no option afterwards. I'd much rather have 4 years of Rookie scale Toumani and we could have, had we not signed Bol and inlcuded Ish in the Nurkic deal instead.

Maybe he surprises, but that signing felt like an attempt to divert fan attention from the fact that we just salary dumped Cam Payne.
We could have just included Ish instead anyway.

We still would’ve had a roster crunch. Ish is going to be waived…if we included Ish, Toumani would’ve been on the chopping block. We included him as a favor to him and his agent.

We would have had options. If he looked better than Bol in preseason, we could have waived Bol instead.

Yes that’s true, but also not a great look to sign a guy and then waive him a couple months later. I think they were trying to avoid waiving a player they either just signed or just drafted. I wish Toumani could’ve just been converted to a 2-way though. Then we could’ve sent Ish and only needed to waive one guy(Keon most likely).

They might still end up waiving Bol anyway. Hopefully, it's Ish and Keon, though.

I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong about Saben not getting playing time during the regular season. What do you guys think?

I liked having the big three out of the game and the rest of the guys having to fend for themselves for this game. They fared surprisingly well imo. Saban tried to be Nash and definitely wasn’t. Diop was a big disappointment the first game. He showed a little more game this time. Meta played some minutes I guess. He kind of disappears out there.

I think the starting five is kind of set. There was a question about the fifth starter but Okogie has solidified his claim to that spot by playing his ass off. Gordon, Allen and Watanabe have established themselves as the top rotation players off the bench.

I would like to see more of the other players next game. Let’s see what they’ve got in extended minutes.

Strawther is going to be good for Denver. He was a problem.

I don't like Saben Lee so far this season. I hope he doesn't get rotation minutes. I really wish we had found a way to keep Camara. Oh well.

I, much like the rest of you, was looking forward to seeing Jordan Goodwin get some playing time in the preseason and it’s unfortunate he hasn’t had the opportunity to showcase his skills yet due to injury. I’m hoping we’ll get to see him at some point prior to the start of the season.

I do like what I’m seeing from our bench thus far and it has me feeling confident about this year. Allen especially looks impressive with his shooting and ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket. He also made some nice passes against Denver, though he needs to limit the turnovers a bit more. Metu was a player I was not expecting much from but he has shown some real promise. Okogie’s defense has been extremely disruptive and his offense is coming along nicely. Hopefully the consistency to connect on his 3’s will be there.

He might actually be ahead of KBD currently on the depth chart

Bol Bol has looked good at times and terrible at others. He’s still so raw and is constantly biting on fakes and trying to go for blocks. I don’t anticipate him getting much time here throughout the season, especially with Metu on the squad and what Vogel has said about him (Metu).

I had to look it up, but Bol Bol is 24 and this is his 5th season in the league. Maybe he's not raw, maybe he just isn't good.

In any case, he's behind Nurkic, Eubanks, and Metu. I expect to see us play small with Durant at center before trusting Bol Bol with meaningful minutes.

Seems like Bol needs to go to a bad team (or even overseas) and just get a ton of minutes and reps and coaching and learn how to be a better and smarter player. I don't think he's ready to contribute to a team like ours right now. I think we should cut him.
