Game Day: Suns (46-33) @ Clippers (51-28), Wed 4/10/24

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:30 pm AZ (7:30 pm PT / 10:30 pm ET)
Place: Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, CA
TV: AZ Family 3TV/NBALP

Suns travel to LA for the 2nd of back-to-back games against the Clippers. Suns got embarrassed in the first half Tuesday night down 66-33 at halftime. They then made a furious comeback to get within 7 before running out of gas. Suns starters played a lot of minutes so they may not have much left in the tank for tonight. The Suns fell to 7th in the West with their loss and the Pelicans win Tuesday night.

Somehow I think this one will be a worse loss than the last game. I know they had us down 32-4 last time, but we mostly came back. I don't think we will do that on their floor. I think this time they run off to a big lead again and don't give it up.

Well, we'll see what kind of heart they have. Let's see if they come out with some fire rather nonchalant like tonight. Those two Book turnovers to start the game were absolutely horrible and lazy.

I seem to remember that the Lakers fans used to complain that the Clippers had their number every game when Vogel was coaching them. I think that perhaps it's Lue that really has Vogel figured out and knows how to beat him every time. I can't remember having this much trouble with the Clippers in the past.

Maybe not as much as this year, but Lue did manage to give us some fits with a very undermanned squad in past playoffs

You're right, but at least it wasn't considered an automatic loss, even with some of their stars being out.

I’m hoping the Clippers flame out early in the playoffs and part ways with Lue so that we can snag him.

Lue might be my favorite NBA coach at the moment.

Lue is awesome. If the Clips were dumb enough to let him go, we should do everything humanly possible to snag him. I doubt they're that dumb, though. He's way too good for them to just toss aside, even if they lost early in the playoffs.

They don't respect the Suns and I don't blame them because neither do I.

I won't be watching this team anymore this season. Our stars gave out a golden shower on fan appreciation night. We need to trade Booker and Durant, carefully, so we get whatever value is there for them. Booker's terrible games at the worst moments across a few years show he is not the guy to bring the banner to Phoenix. Ishbia has his work cut out for himself.
