The Sixers are acquiring lots of great picks and assets, but they overpaid for that one. Something like $16m for one middling first-round pick.

I think they had to pay that money anyways, they were beneath the salary floor. So they payed McGee instead of their current players splitting the money.

As soon as he declared that he was looking forward to mentoring Embiid and Noel, the Front office had no choice but to waive him.

Nothing about Shaw being fired? Just saw it on ATH.

David West had a great quote about the Nuggets and I think it applies to us as well: "You can't win without grownups."

This isn't fair to say since he is arguably one of the top 5 coaches of all time, but I would love to see how someone like Jerry Sloan would handle this team.

It's funny, the guys on ATH were saying that Hornacek is starting to sound like Sloan and I immediately thought, well he's not ACTING like Sloan. No way Sloan would put up with the twins' bullshit.

True. I am not familiar enough with him early on (or during his playing days) to know much about how he was when he was younger, but I have a hard time picturing him ever putting up with something like this.

If two of your starters are Malone and Stockton, I don't know if it matters much what you're not willing to put up with.

Anyone else notice that the Bucks are falling apart? Losses to LAL and now Denver. Oof.

Work's been keeping me from watching the games, but from what I've seen, I've been impressed with Knight's quickness on both ends. He hasn't done much yet for us offensively, though. I'm not ready to render judgment.

Yea well that happens when you trade your best player. Sometimes GMs can be their own worst enemy. Bucks had a real good thing going, Knight was playing well and they had a young team. Kidd is really running things though and they never felt like Knight was their guy.

It's funny...sometimes you need guys to grow into being your superstar. They need to rise to the occasion and be put in successful situations. Was Chauncey a star before he went to Detroit? Rip Hamilton?

The Bucks hit a minor bump in the road. They'll be OK with MCW and the Greek Freek running things.

It's the Wizards that is in trouble. Never was a big fan of their coach

Rough life. Paid millions and then to get treated like that? I don't know how he puts up with it.

Zoran Dragic was assigned to the D-League by the Heat
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”
