I'm quite surprised an 18yo shoots 80%. Most kids nowadays struggle to hit 70%.

karl towns is 81.5% FT shooter.

justice winslow on the other hand, while shooting 41% from threes, is only a 64% FT shooter. makes you wonder if his three pt shooting is an abberation or a 1 yr thing.

Jay Bilas was saying on draft night that Devin Booker is a better player in his freshman year than Klay Thompson was in his freshman year so that is some pretty good praise.

That's impressive for towns. And I do think winslow's ft shooting is cause for concern

Towns is a very good outside shooter, but wasn't allowed to shoot the 3 at Kentucky. Cal wanted him to develop his post game. I'll be curious how they use him in MN, as he could play the role of stretch 4 for periods of time when he's sharing the court with Non.

Suns' Booker sure doesn't talk like an 18-year-old

AP - Sports

PHOENIX (AP) -- Devin Booker was almost finished with his introductory news conference on Friday, patiently, confidently, concisely answering one question after another, a performance that belied his age.

At 18, the youngest player in his draft class, the Kentucky guard impressed the Phoenix Suns with a lot more than his sweet jump shot. And he won't turn 19 until Oct. 30.

''You just listened to him for a half-hour answering your questions,'' Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. ''You think he's an 18-year-old kid? Besides the basketball, that's the stuff that we saw as a young man that could be on our team and be a part of our organization. He's got the maturity of somebody a lot older than that.''

my surprise team to make the playoffs this year is minnesota... as long as rubio stays healthy this season.

so now they signed knight to an extension. if they trade away bledsoe, knight and booker are a poor man's version of steph and klay thompson.

Devin Booker - 18 years old, no NBA experience
Archie Goodwin - 20 years old, 2 years experience
T.J. Warren - 21 years old, 1 year experience
Alex Len - 22 years old, 2 years experience
Brandon Knight - 23 years old, 4 years experience

Nobody should think these guys are (or should be) fully developed players at this point.

It's good to see that, Bobster. Our young guys are what give me hope for our future.
