I've never seen a hamstring wreck a guy's season like that without it being torn. I think they were just "resting" him knowing they were going to lose a bunch of games.

That sucks for Lin. He seems like a genuinely good dude. That injury is a real setback for him.

Lonzo Ball tonight. Beverly was in his head all game. Too bad we don't have anyone that plays like Beverly with some defensive pride.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

The Clippers are a kind of interesting team. I initially just assumed they were toast without Chris Paul. But then I saw that they had Beverly as well as the exciting Teodosic (sp), so I think their PG position will actually be okay. It wouldn't stun me if they had just as good a record as last year.

Last season, the Clippers were +352 overall, +579 with Paul on the floor, and -227 without him. So I expect they'll miss him.

I agree, and it wouldn't surprise me if they actually had a better record this year as adding Gallinari could be a big get for them. A ton of this is going to be whether or not Griffin stays healthy.

Not only Griffin but Beverly and Gallo need to stay healthy as well.

I think this is very much a Nash on the Suns situation. The offense was so completely designed for Paul to have the ball at all times that they struggled when he didn't. If they stay healthy I think they'll be pretty good. Big if though as Griffin and gallinari never seem to stay healthy.

Magic looked decent on opening night, Isaac had a couple nice plays so I guess he did settle down :)

The Timberwolves are a pretty fun team. I think I'll be watching them a lot this year.

Somebody may have already posted this, but I just noticed that Chris Paul may be out a while with a nagging knee injury. Hmm.

This one might have got lost in translation both ways, Az. :) He said they were fun, not funny.

Philly curse? Some are saying he hurt his shoulder and that's the only way he can shoot. But he doesn't shoot his jumpers that way. They should just sit him for the year like they always do.

The Grizzlies are up by 17 going into the 4th against the Warriors.

Edit: Oh, and Orlando is killing the Cavs in Cleveland.
